Chapter 14

In the morning Aditya left at six thirty while Inaya was still asleep. He didn't wake her up but only left a letter for her to read whenever she woke up.

Inaya sighed looking at the paper before keeping it back on the bedpost. After the talk they had yesterday, he still decided to not inform her before leaving.

She stood up from the bed and walked up to the bathroom to get ready. A lot of thoughts were roaming around her head.

She tried hard not to think about the fight they had and stood under the shower. The warm water cascaded down her body while she stood there staring at the wall.

Half and hour later she walked outside the bathroom and got ready in a light pink suit for visiting the orphanage.

12:00pm hopeful smiles orphanage

Inaya walked to the living room she saw kalpana aunty and Sanya siting there talking to each other. She kept the things she brought for the kids on the side and walked up to both of them.

"Inaya! What a surprise beta" aunty said while hugging her tightly. Sanya ran in full speed wrapping her arms around Inaya tightly.

"I missed you so much" Inaya smiled lightly before all of them sat on the couch. After a few talks about random things aunty asked her about the annual event of the orphanage.

"Inaya, the function is after two weeks. I hope you and Aditya will come"

Inaya shifted uncomfortably in her place but nodded her head lightly.

"I'll ask him aunty. But I think he won't be able to come. He's on a buisness trip for two weeks." She nodded at the information but looked at Inaya being uncomfortable with the discussion decided to change the topic.

"Okay. Come lets have lunch"

Inaya went home after spending time with everyone and reached by five in the evening.

Keeping the bag on the couch she moved towards the kitchen to make some tea for herself.

After pouring the liquid in the mug she took it upstairs, keeping it on the side table she sat down on the bed. Her mind constantly made her think of Aditya. When would he come home? Why did he not wake her up before leaving? Was he upset after what happened the day before? All these thoughts roamed around her head. Trying not to think about it too much she opened her laptop to work.

The driver opened the door of the car as Inaya sat inside quickly. The photographers surrounded her car making it difficult for the driver to drive. The police stepped in as they made space for the car to move away.

Inaya quietly sat inside the car feeling dizzy from a long day at work. The interview she got an email about was shot today and all she wanted to do right now was go home and sleep.

Her stomach got upset yesterday and she threw up in the morning. And after shooting with not being physically well she felt drained out.

Her head was bursting with pain as she lightly massaged the center of her forehead.

Reaching home she immediately changed her clothes she went to bed. It was almost seven in the evening, and the sun was just about to set. The orange light lit up the whole room while the birds in the balcony made chirpy noises making her feel even more sleepy.
