Mias POV:
'Come here.' Daniel said softly, opening his arms to me and holding me tight, his hand behind the back of my head to support me.

'I'm okay.' I whispered.

'You think you're okay, but I know you're not. It never gets easier.' He said to calm me.

'How are you feeling?' I asked.

'A little shaken, but I'm in the sport, im prepared for the risks. It's not something you should ever have to deal with.' He said.

'You know?' I asked him, warily.

'I'm your brother. I can see it in your face, the way you look at him.' He smiled.

'And you're not mad?'

'Im absolutely fine until he's the reason for a single tear on your face.' He squeezed my hand.

'We'll be fine, Danny, I promise.' I reassured him.

'I know. You're not the little girl I grew up protecting.' He chuckled, kissing the top of my head and letting me go, just as Lando rounded the corner.

He didn't say anything, and he didn't have to. I knew that he was mad, even more so that my brother. But that was just because I'd told him everything, how we'd been on and off, why he stopped speaking to me, how he walked out and never came back.

Danny was unaware to everything me and Charles had been through, but Lando wasn't.

'I heard you stormed out.' I said, trying to ease the tension.

'That's not what I'm here to talk about, are you okay?' He asked placing a hand on either one of my shoulders.

'A little freaked but I'm fine.' I said, giving him a small smile.

' Okay.' He nodded, clearly biting his tongue, as he knew now wasn't the time.

Especially not infront of my brother.

A soft knock on the door forced us all to turn around, Charles slipped his head in, smiling down at me.

'Hey, man, are you alright, nasty crash you had.' Danny said, standing up to clap him on the shoulder.

'They always look worse than they are, don't they?' He chuckled.

'You scared me for a minute.' Lando said, holding his hand out, shaking Charles's.

'Gotta keep you all on your toes. Who would you be without any competition?' He joked.

'Better.' Lando laughed.

'Hey, look, is it okay if I?' He begun.

'No, absolutely, go ahead.' Danny smiled, standing up and brushing down his racing suit.

He was clearly on edge, knowing that I was sensitive to these kinds of situations. The last time we both watched a crash as bad as that, the driver didn't come out alive.

But I was younger then and I didn't know how to handle my emotions. He seemed to be worried I'd react the same way, but I was yet to throw up, proving I was already handling the stress better than I did before.

Lando and Daniel got up to leave us alone, the door clicking behind them breaking the silence that we were sat in.

'Now, are you finally gonna let me take you out?' He asked, a cheeky grin on his face.

'I guess so.' I teased, rolling my eyes at him.

'You still don't look 100%, we'll go out when we land in Monaco. But tonight we'll get a takeaway.' He said.
