Valentines Day!

"Shoot! Error! Help!"

"What d-do you want ano-anomaly?"

"It's valentine's day and I have no clue what to get Night. I was gonna go buy something but I can't tell him I need to leave this universe. Can you pick me up?"

"D-Do I ha-have to-o? I tho-thought th-the stars we-were after yo-you."

"They are but it's fine! They're scared of you. Please take me, I'll owe you one. OOO! How about I come to the anti-void for a bit with hot chocolates and we can make puppets!"

"F-Fine. On-Only bec-because your hot-ch-chocolates are really go-good thou-though." With that he hung up and a portal opened next to you.

"He-y. Got yo-your stuff?" You hum in agreement.

"Just take me to any mall that won't be busy. I don't like busy places as much as I can avoid them"

"Wh-Whatever." He opened a portal to an empty mall and took you around the shops to look for stuff Night could like. You knew he liked flowers, his favourite were roses, fantasy books, non-fiction and purple. You were going to get him an octopus plush, but Error said it'd be stupid.

"Since when were you a romance expert?"

"Shut u-up." He blushed a little. You laughed and toyed with your hands, worried about how much time you had left to shop. When Night came back from work you had to be at home or he'd be suspicious or worried. You hugged yourself, cold and feeling a little awkward. Error following you from behind was more eerie than Night walking next to you. You got to a florists, and ended up getting some purple, red and black roses but when you went to pay, no one was at the counter.

"Is this stealing?" Error shrugged and left, you soon following him. Let's hope it's not stealing then. Error suddenly stopped, now in front of you since he left the shop.

"Where's N-Nightmare right no-now?" He asked, squinting at you condescendingly.

"Work. But not in the castle, he goes to this weekly meeting thing. Says it's about outcodes? Whatever the hell that means."

"S-Shit! F-Fuck I should b-be there." He face palmed before talking again "Why ar-are you ev-even at N-Nightmare's?"

"I'm his girlfriend! I have been for like, 2 weeks now." You smile. Error looks you up and down like he recognised you from somewhere. His eyes widen when he realises.

"FUCK! W-We need to h-hurry up." He shouts.

"What? Error what's wrong." He paused for a while without saying anything, just pivoting to start walking again.

"U-Uh. Noth-Nothing. Just that uh Night wi-will be back so-soon." He said, playing with his fingers as he walked with you. He seemed to be guilty about something, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it. You decide not to press him about it though, and end up getting the octopus plush you were going to get for Night. You picked one up for you too. A grumpy one and a smiling one, of course. "H-Hes gonna k-kill you you k-know. P-Probably me to-too."

"He can try! Don't know why he's gonna kill you though. Am I banned from leaving the castle or something?" You laugh, but he doesn't laugh with you. Error has a habit of reacting to things strangely, but usually he'd laugh at that. Weird. "Error you ok? Sick or something? Wanna go home?" You say concerned. He pauses and looks at you a moment, contemplating something. Double weird.

"U-Uh, I would li-like to go ho-home actually. I-I nee-need to get to th-that mee-meeting any way. It-it's pro-probably important."

"What even are they about. Night just says outcodes and work but never elaborates." You pause a moment, silently wondering if you should know or not. You decide it should be fine and add some more to your question. "I'm just wondering because he said he'd be away from home a lot, and I kinda want a proper reason why I have to be a little housewife for like, six months." Error just stares at you for what feels like forever. You look away, a little intimidated to be honest. He grips his hands tightly and sighs before opening a portal to the castle and telling you 'It's Nightmare's business to say, but it's nothing bad for your relationship or anything. Don't tell him I took you ANYWHERE or I'll kill you.' You thank him, albeit a bit cautiously and step through the portal, clutching the roses and octopi. No one noticed you were gone, right?
