"MOM!!!!" I shrieked, as I watched her fall down the stairs.

For a moment, I froze. I couldn't even move. Then I saw her lying still. And I rushed to her.

"DAD! DAD!", I called, " MOM is...! DAD! MOM! Oh GOD!"

I felt my hands shaking.

My dad rushed to me. He looked like, he doesn't know, what to do! He froze or lost his senses.

"Dad! Call emergency! 911"

Dad looked at me, trying to understand, like he couldn't believe his eyes.

"DAD!!!"

He trembled a bit and then took out his phone.

We were sitting outside ICU. The doctor said, my mom had a stroke. And she lost her conciousness. They cannot say anything before 72 hours. And....Dad.....All while dad stayed so quiet. Like he couldn't believe what was going on. As I was crying and calling my aunt, all while he kept staring blankly.

" Dad. You alright?", I asked, sitting beside him.

" I....Your mom will be fine, right? She is going to be alright?", He asked. His voice trembling. My heart broke.I have never seen my dad so helpless, so shook.

I hugged him.

" She's going to be alright. I promise. She will be fine"

He was so stubborn and wouldn't leave the hospital. After trying for an hour, I convinced him and brought him back to home. He needs to rest.

I came to visit my parents on weekend. Mom wanted to see me. So, I was there to spend time with her. But, now.....I couldn't think.

She will be fine. She will be alright. My mom will be alright. I kept telling myself, trying to fight back tears.

" Fi!", My dad called out. His room is just beside mine.

I wiped my face and replied, " Yes, dad?"

" What do you want for lunch? Should I order something?", he asked as soon as I entered his room.

" Dad, it's fine. I will make something. How are you holding up?"

" I don't know "

" Dad, she will be alright. I am telling you. I have this gut feeling. I can feel it "

Dad smiled, " Then she is definitely going to be alright"

" Yes. I promise, she will be"

My gut feeling was right. Mom regained her senses and she was alright. After a week, the doctor said she can go back home. However, there were several dietary restrictions. She was given certain exercises and a lot of medications. And the doctor asked her to go to the hospital, even if she feels a bit sick. My dad felt like himself again. Even mom looked like, she hadn't just gone through a stroke. She was joking and complaining about how we made a mess at her home and practically ruined her kitchen.

I put all the files and medicines in their room and returned to my room to freshen up. This was a hectic week. My business partner, my best friend Betty was taking care of the bakery. She had to hire a temporary chef, so that I can focus here. However, I should go back too. I cannot just put all the pressure on her.

I sat on my bed and scrolled through the notifications.

Another message from that new reader. I couldn't post for 3 days straight. So I knew, the readers will want to know. I opened Instagram, but was really disappointed to see, that there were only messages from my friends and that one new reader. Seriously? What was I expecting. Of course the readers are understanding. So they obviously don't expect me to be precise and matriculate about posting.
