Alara's Search for the Assassin

It's been three days since Alara arranged for the Gorgon Queen and Ace to get married. Back on Planet Dylos, the two were scheduled to marry the following day outside in a botanical garden just behind her castle. An archway with an alter was being setup by castle staff and a walkway was being made for the two to walk down. There was also a clearing being made where seats were going to be set up. Magdolyn overlooks everything as it's set up to make sure it's to the Gorgon Queen's standards. Meanwhile from a castle window, Ace looks down at the set from their room. "At least the setup is nice. Just stay positive, Ace. This is for the good of your homeland. It might not be so bad, being married to a... 3 and a half foot long Gorgon..." Ace says to reassure himself. "Oh darling! Where are you???" The Gorgon Queen calls out in a singsong voice. Ace sighs before turning around. "I'm in here, where else would I-" Ace says as he turns around. He stops when he catches a glance at his future wife. She flaps her wings to keep herself in the air as she wears only a small piece of red lingerie to cover her chest as opposed to her usual white and gold robe. "What... is that...?" Ace asks quietly. "What do you mean what is it, silly? This is for you!" The Gorgon Queen says happily. "Oh..." Ace says to himself, a bead of sweat rolling down his forehead. The Gorgon Queen floats up to him, playing with his hair again. "Uh-huh! It's for our honeymoon. I'm still well into my fertility but it'll still take at least a year for me to fully grow so we'll have to act soon! Oooooh I'm SOOOO excited!" The Gorgon Queen squeals. "Uh, about that. I may as well ask now, how exactly is... that... going to work? You're kinda, small." Ace asks her. "Oh, you mean sex? You can just say it, ya know. I may still be in my Snakelet state but I'm not a kid." The Gorgon Queen says. "R-right. But still. I don't want to hurt you or anything." Ace says. "Oh you don't have to worry about me, BooBoo! My kind are built for things like that. I'll be fine." The Gorgon Queen assured him. Ace raises an eyebrow. "Built for that? I'm not following." Ace says inquiring more. "Well think of it like this. You ever see a snake swallow an egg bigger than its head whole?" The Gorgon Queen asks. "Yeeeea...?" Ace says slowly. "Weeeell, tomorrow... you'll be the egg!" The Gorgon Queen says with a wide smile. "Oh! Wait... oh..." Ace says as he figures out what she means. His face turns red when he pieces her words together and the Gorgon Queen giggles at him. "So CUTE! You've gone all red in the face. You're excited too now, aren't ya?" The Gorgon Queen asks pinching his left cheek. "Well... it'll certainly be a different experience for me." Ace says. The Gorgon Queen then frowns. "BooBoo! It won't be your first time???" The Gorgon Queen asks sadly.

"Of course not. I'm an Incubus." Ace replies and the Gorgon Queen pouts. "Yea I know that. But you're still pretty young. I thought maybe I had gotten to you before that stupid curse crap. Maaaan. I was hoping that we would both be each other's first..." She says sadly. "Yea, sorry about that. But, while I'm at it, you do know about the whole deal with Succubi and Incubi, right?" Ace ask's referring to the curse. "Psssh, of course I know about that. We have those here too, ya know. I'm not an idiot." The Gorgon Queen says annoyed, as if she didn't want to be reminded. "And, you're cool with that?" Ace asks. "Oh I don't care about that. I'm a monster girl, so our kind has to look out for each other." The Gorgon Queen says crossing her arms. "Oh. Okay, well that's-" Ace says but the Gorgon Queen grabs him by the face and pulls him in close. Her eyes turn yellow and more snakelike, practically pierce through his soul as she stares him down. "But, I never want to think about or hear ANY mention of that stupid curse again. This is the first and last time we will ever discuss it. You won't think about other women in my presence, you won't bring any other women into my castle, and you DEFINITELY won't try to talk to me about them. Am I making myself clear?" The Gorgon Queen says ominously as her dark red aura pours from her body. Ace shudders in his spot, feeling the immense power coming from the Gorgon Queen. He feels almost as if he's being turned to stone where he stands. "Uh... yes?" Ace says in a panic, trying to keep himself from losing his cool. The Gorgon Queen continues staring him down for another moment, Ace beginning to sweat eventually. She then smiles again brightly at him. "Okay! Then it'll be fine!" The Gorgon Queen says happily before kissing him on the cheek, her small lips gently pecking the side of Ace's face. She then looks outside at the set and her face contorts to an angry expression. The snakes in her hair even begin to hiss angrily in response. "Hey! What are those dummies doing down there?!? They're screwing up the whole set!" The Gorgon Queen says as she opens the window and quickly starts flying down to her castle staff. Ace looks down as the Gorgon Queen yells angrily at her staff and Magdolyn looks along blankly as usual. Meanwhile back on Alara's planet, she meditates in her training room, attempting to balance all of her powers and abilities in her body. She thinks to herself as she focuses all her attention on herself, "I need to find a way to bring everything together. My power is too fragmented. Too much in too many different directions. I have to balance it all." Alara thinks to herself.
