"Ugh" Ray sighed loudly making sure her mother noticed her sickly state.
"Yeah, this isn't gonna work honey." Her mother looked weirdly amused with the plot of Ray's excuses.
"But mom~, they're gonna catch an infection."
At this point Ray was trying really hard to make it seem as if she cared about him, but anger and disgust was clear on her face.
"Beta, I know how much you hate him but this is a very important occasion in our lives and we can't mess this up."
Ray rolled her eyes and walked back to her room. She glanced at her phone and noticed Pari was calling her, she muted her phone and texted her on Instagram.

Ray falls on her bed face first and lets out a scream which gets muffled in the sheets, she then turns to her face the ceilings as a tear drop escapes the bounds of her eyelashes.
All the awful memories of her past start circling back. All the times she was pushed and shoved into the corner by him, all the times he cursed her out just for existing, the times when he made all the kids believe that she was just a filthy homeless girl who doesn't deserve to be friends with them, all because her family rented a place and didn't own a house in the suburbs like theirs. All the times that he made her believe that she was disgusting and should die.

'Ray you should really get ready now or we will be late'
She wipes the tear before it enters her ear and responds with a dull yes to her mother.
She walks over to the closest and picks out the first thing she sees, it is a shirt and jeans which she won't wear to a party in a sane situation, but right now she doesn't care, she plans to just ignore everybody and sit in the corner the whole time she's at the party.
As she is walking out of her room her father looks at her and with a shocked face blurts the most disapproving no she has ever heard in her life.

'What now'
She blurts still on the verge of tears,
'you are not leaving the house in that's
'ok so I will just stay home'
'no no no no no you are going to change right now or I'm taking your phone'
'ughhh wtv, what should I wear then you tell'
'umm wear the new sweater and get ready fast'

Rayy returns to her room with a sulky face and changes.

Time lapse
