Penumbras and Umbra ran through the hallways , Penumbras running right beside Umbra, keeping track of each turn. Then they ran through a door into the council chamber.
The Queen was stabbing her tail at a hovering spirit, its body glowing red.
It eluded each stab, and then raised its claws and brought them down hard. The queen never moved again.
"MOTHER!" Umbra screamed. "NO!"
The Demon hissed and flew up through a hole in the roof and disappeared in an explosion. Umbra raced over to her mother.
A smile was spreading across her dead face.

Umbra cradled her mother's head in her talons and wet. Penumbras reached out and placed a wing around her back.
"Your mother was great, but your the queen now, meaning you must take matters into your own talons.
The Queen sobbed, but after a moment let his words sink into her mind. She sobbed again and nodded.
"Alright, yes, yes, I know." She said. "But I also need a Head Knight."
Penumbras eyes went wide. No, she cant POSSIBLY be meaning... He thought.
"Yes," Umbra said. "Penumbras, you are now the Head Knight of The Esteemed Mistress."
Penumbras found himself bowing. As soon as his Head was low, Umbra pulled a sandwing blade out of a dead guard's talon and placed the blade gently on his shoulders.
"Now, Penumbras, we must stop the demonic invasion destined to happen. Let us go to meet your selection of troops."
Penumbras followed Umbra down the Hallways toward the front courtyard. She had her mother's crown on her head .
She commanded dragons to go take care of her mother's body and prepare it for burial after a close inspection by the healers.
They Slowly made their way toward the north courtyard, when, finally, they made it to a large door and opened it.
Sunshine burst through onto their faces, and there Dusty was, waiting for them impatiently.
Dusty ran forward and embraced Penumbras, sobbing with relief.
"I almost thought a demon had killed you." He said. "Thank God your not!"
"Now ," Said Penumbras, "We must plan to stop this demonic invasion."
