Irie just stood there for a good few minutes, ashamed of what he just said.
"Oh my god!" thought Irie-kun " I have to get her!"
Irie-kun then ran out of the house to try to find Kotoko.
His first thought of where Kotoko was going was the train station. So, Irie ran towards the train station. He only ran for about a minute, till he could see Kotoko.
When he saw her, he broke out into a full out sprint.
"Kotoko!" he yelled towards her.
She didn't turn around.
When he finally caught up to her, he grabbed her arm.
"Kotoko, please," he panted.
"Let go of me," Kotoko said without facing Irie-kun.
"Kotoko, please," he began again.
" I SAID LET GO OF ME!" shouted Kotoko.
She then turned around and smacked Irie across the face.
Irie let go of her arm and put his hand on where he was slapped.
Kotoko then walked away, as Irie just stood in that spot, holding his cheek, tears welding up in his eyes.
He was speechless.
He gave up. There was no way he could get Kotoko back.
So, he turned around and walked back home.

Kotoko was the only one on the train.
She was planning to go to Oba-sama's and raise the baby there. She didn't want to be with Irie-kun anymore.

"Knock, knock, knock..."
Oba-sama was woken up and went to the door.
"Who could be at the door at this hour?" she thought to herself.
She then opened the door to find Kotoko, clutching her large belly, in tears.
"Kotoko- chan?" asked Oba-sama.
"Oba-sama!" Kotoko cried as she fell into Oba- sama's arms.
"Kotoko- chan, what happened?" Oba- sama asked as she stroked Kotoko's back.
"It was Irie-kun!" cried Kotoko.
"Come inside," said Oba-sama "tell me everything."
So, Kotoko told her dear Oba-sama everything.
Oba-sama then gave Kotoko her old bed to sleep in.
It was a very rough night for Kotoko.

"Papa, where's Mama?" asked Kotomi as Irie was helping her get dressed for daycare.
Irie took a deep breath.
"Mama," he began "is on a little break. The baby is tiring her out."
Kotomi got a worried look in her face.
"Don't worry," said Irie "Mama will be back..."
"I hope..." he thought.

Kotoko woke up at about noon.
She at first forgot where she was, but she eventually remembered.
She went down to the familiar kitchen. She missed it.
Oba-sama was in the kitchen making something.
"Oh Kotoko-chan!" she sang "You're up!"
Kotoko broke out into tears again.
Right away, Oba- sama went to comfort Kotoko.
"I'll fix this, Kotoko-chan," said Oba-sama "there's no need to worry..."
