~Elrohir~

I pushed open the door to one of our guest rooms, "I think you'll be comfortable in here."

"This is all for me?" She looked around the large room. "I don't need this much space. A closet would work just as well."

I hoped she was joking. A creature as lovely as her deserved the entire world.

"I'll send one of our maids to help you," I said. "Your washroom in through there. My chamber is at the end of the hall if you should need anything. Please don't hesitate to ask."

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked. "I'm just a stupid orphan. You don't know anything about me."

I shrugged, "Everyone deserves to be cared for by one or another."

Summer looked up at me. I looked down at her. Snap out of it! I scolded myself internally. I stepped back and nodded to her before walking out.

Once I was around the corner I leaned against the wall and exhaled. My heart was on fire and the blaze was consuming me slowly. It was her. It had to be.

~Summer~

I looked around the room. It was huge. A large bed sat again one wall. If I was lying in it I could look out the balcony doorway and see the waterfalls. A wardrobe was next to it and on the right side was a small table with a vase of flowers. On the wall opposite the bed was a fireplace with very comfortable looking chairs in front of it. A shelf sat beside it with a few books and stone ornaments. I picked up a carved bird. The crafter must have had an insane amount of patience to carve every little feather. I set the bird down and wander into the adjoining room. There's a pool? I cock my head a little. There is a pool carved into the floor. The water is churning slowly and a little steam rises from it. There was a waterfall pouring out of a stone surface with bottles of soap beside it. I poured some of the smooth liquid onto my hand and quickly washed them beneath the cool water. The soap smelt sweet like flowers. I smiled and moved on to the other side of the room. Another wardrobe held thick towels, cloths, robes, combs, and a basket of cloth strips and ointments of various types. All the bottles were labeled with odd symbols. I closed the doors and turned around. I jumped when I saw a girl standing there.

"Mae G'ovannen!" She smiled. "Lord Elrohir sent me to meet you. I'm your chamber maid."

"Oh. I'm fine on my own but thank you," I fidgeted with my fingers.

"You cannot have dinner with the Lords and Ladies dressed like that," She held up a stack of fabric. It was black. My favorite color.

"Why don't you bathe yourself and then I'll help you dress," She suggested.

Oh no. No way was I taking my clothes off in front of a stranger. I hated looking at my own body, no way was I showing it to someone I'd known less than five minutes.

"Oh uh," I hesitated.

"My name is Anira."

"Summer," I said quietly.

"It is a pleasure to serve you Lady Summer."

"Okay please drop the formalities," I said quickly. "I'm just Summer."

I stepped into the pool and sat down in the warm water. It felt splendid after a long, confusing day. So far I actually liked this place. Everyone here was so kind and it didn't matter to them that I was an orphan. I poured some of the soap into my hand and massaged it into my wet hair. I rinsed it out and wrapped myself in a towel. Anira combed my hair and tightly braided it.
