She watched as the trees flickered passed her windows. This was it. She left all her friends just for one stupid job offer her dad got. She didn't think it was worth it. But soon she'll realize everything happens for a reason. "Kat!" her dad practically yelled, "We're here!" She wasn't ready for this big transition. Kat took her ear buds out of her ears and opened the car door.
She walked up to her new house. It was huge! Her dad opened the door. It was just Kat and her dad. Her mom and dad got divorced when she was 8. hey decided her dad would keep her and her mom would keep her older brother Nate. She was 16 now but still remembered every second of when her parents told her about the divorce like it was yesterday. The screaming. The crying. It still hurt her but her mom was practically dead to her.
Kat went up stairs and unpacked most of her things. She decided she'd walk around the neighborhood and try to figure everything out. She came upon a large park. She decided it'd be nice to hang out there for a while to get some fresh air. She saw a green eyed boy run her way. It looked like he was racing his curly haired friend. Suddenly the green eyed boy fell. She got up and ran towards him to see if he was okay. "Are you okay??" she frantically said, "you fell pretty hard!" he was lying on the green grass holding his cheek. He chuckled a bit and finally said "yeah i'm okay, I just tripped. My name is Paul by the way.", he said with a grin on his face. Kat helped Paul back on his feet. "My name's Kat" she said. Finally the curly haired guy caught up with Kat and Paul and said "Woah! Dude are you okay?" practically hiccupping through giggles. Paul just gave him a dirty look. Curly introduced himself, he said his name was Danny. You said "Nice to meet you Danny! I'm Kat! and by the looks of it your Paul's friend he was racing when he fell and got hurt." "yeah I am" said Danny still smiling. "Good going Paul! You picked up a cute girl when you fell! Maybe you should get hurt more often so you can pick up more!" You and Paul both shot Danny a dirty leaving him standing there with his hands in the air in defeat.
