heavens demise - prologue

part 1 !

the scenery.. its nice. perfect even. a cold morning, no cars honking or anything. just a nice, windy morning. it makes me relaxed. honestly, nature always makes me relaxed. i hope today isnt a busy day…

oh right! let me introduce myself for you. im an ordinary person, named Fio Sakai. well, i guess maybe i'm not that ordinary. i have an ultimate.
im the ultimate nurse. let me go more into detail for you.

an ultimate is something you can get from the age range 10-21. Its a little government thing, you get more appreciation and make a little extra money with the ultimate system.

anyways enough of the ultimate system im at my hospital! it looks taller than usual.

as i walk in the office it was fairly empty besides a few other staff members. well its expected, its so early. not everyone is here in the morning. im glad it's still as quiet as it was outside.

"fio, go to ur room." a voice says

"oh yeah-!" i exclaimed.

as i enter my office i feel something injecting in me. i collapse to the floor. in a wave of shock, i yell-

" agh-! what the hell- "

" sorry fio . " a familiar but strange voice says. the voice felt bad for what they did, but they had to do it for something. i wonder what it is.

the world starts going dim the more I think about everything. is this the end . . ? no.. it cant…why- me.

" hey!!! wake up sleepy bones! "

i wake up and observe the surroundings . i think im against some sort of… bookshelf ? wait- why am i against a bookshelf. where am i. am i dea-

suddenly, a voice interrupted my thoughts.

" i said wake up!! who are you ? "

" no-! who the hell are you-!? " i responded.

" oh me? im yuki aoki !! im also the ultimate gamer but i don't know if you think important . " she responded. she has a weird aurora. a happy and energetic girl, but understanding and can be nervous. shes obviously been through something. she wouldn't let go of a question once asked . she repeats ," so, who are you? "

i forgot to introduce myself, i always seem to mess up . i studder out, " oh um.. i-im uh.. fio. fio sakai. ultimate nurse. " gosh im embarrassing! i wish i could redo that godforsaken introduction. yuki didn't care though?
" pretty name! " she smiles. she proceeds to ask me another question.

" so do you know where we are? "
" not in the slightest. do you ? "
" sadly not. "
" oh. "
" sorry! can i help you up? " she says, holding her hand out.
" … " i take her hand without saying a word.

" so we both don't know where we are ? great. " yuki says. she seems mad. is she mad at me? " well um, let's just look around here, we are bound to find something. " I suggest. yuki looks me dead in the eye, did I say something wrong? she eargly says, " good idea fio! I'll look in the right side of the room, you can look left !! "

"… okay"

i look around the left side of the room. there's not much in here, it looks like a library of some sort. librarys are unique. books run across the shelves hoping to find temporary owners, key word temporary, as the library will always be their forever home. the library feels magical, as it will always be one of the most quiet places of all time. i like libraries a lot. quiet and books are the perfect combo.

anyways, i find a window and get an idea. my side of the library has books and computers, yuki's side has desks and chairs (with a little bit of books.) i exclaim, "yuki-! mind passing me a chair?" a chair then slid to my feet. " your welcome! " she says.

i gazed at the chair and then at the window. i picked up the chair and bashed it against the used-to-be-perfect window .

CLASH !

the window broke. many pieces of glass flew towards me, making me get a few small cuts on my hands . i fall to the ground. yuki stared at me and the window, in shock. she looked kinda scared in a way, like if i was dangerous or if something else was. after standing there, completely frozen, she runs up to me. " fio-! are you okay?? why would you do that !? " she yells. she seems angry, but worried. i don't respond to her and starts treating my small cuts. " I can help you with that y'know.. " she offers. I hate asking people for help, it's always something I despised doing. im fine with helping people, but I hate asking for help. bothering people scared me in a way . yuki …

i couldn't read her .

i backed up and continued to treat myself . after i was done she lent a hand . i was going to take it, but I quickly backed out of it. i stood up and whispered " sorry " to her. I couldn't help but feel bad for making her see me like that. she stared at me with disappointed eyes, with sorrow. ive never seen anything like that. never.

we stood in silence.

" hey- um! we should explore right? wanna get to know our surroundings am i right? i mean- we should've stay here forever. im kinda excited to explore here- " yuki giggled.

i nodded and replied with, " yes of course. we need to be aware of our surroundings to figure where we even are. honestly, this whole situation is so strange. it makes my head hurt. "

we then walked out of the library. i had one thing on my mind. i saw something strange when I broke that window. something unusual. my heart sunk when I saw it, and it's only gonna sink deeper and deeper as i find out this dark secret. this place, it's different. it could lead . . .
