So I'm going to put my favourite moments from each of the books here, and hopefully this chapter will be more rewarding than the last, as I am not currently drinking gross, soap-like medicine. Shall we proceed?
The Philosophers Stone:
This is hard, I have heaps of favourite moments from the book, as I love going back to the start of the series when everything was amazing and new for them. I just feel like it has so much...innocence? No one has to die, magic is displayed as how we would react to it in reality and all. So-No. 1- Fred and George with their not-so-famous toilet seat jokes.
Even though this isn't in the movie, it always makes me laugh. A LOT! I find it fantastic how they are always carried through the storyline, even as secondary characters. What starts as a joke to make Ginny feel better, is actually carried from the beginning of the story to the very end, where they try to sneak a toilet seat in to Harry's sick bed. It just cracks me up every time.No.2- The potions test.
Alas, again another part left out of the movie, but the section of the maze when they have to solve the riddle to do with the potions is a part that I find really interesting. In the movie, only Ron and Harry get their hero moments, but the potion scene is Hermione's moment, where she is able to help. The Chamber of Secrets:
Ok, I love, love, LOVE the book, probably more than the movie, for many reasons. They will be obvious.No.1- PEEVES.
Enough said. We should honestly rebel against this as a fandom.No.2- Penelope Clearwater and her 'relations' with Percy.
Truly a golden moment of the books. I still shed tears of laughter. The Prisoner of Azkaban
Shall we proceed?No.1-Crookshanks and his Shenanigans.
Ok, I don't recall Crookshanks being a big part of the movies...maybe because he wasn't! They didn't introduce him at the beginning and he didn't have as big of a role. For example, Harry didn't see Crookshanks roaming the grounds with a big black dog in the movies. *insert sad face*Before Hogwarts, after Marge.
One of my favourite parts in this particular book is the times when Harry is exploring Diagon Alley after he has blown up his aunt and is staying at the Leaky Cauldron. It just adds a spirit to Harry, one that shows his curious side like a normal teenager.OK!!! You have no idea how long that took, so I will continue this next chapter! BUAYYYEEEE!!!
