Indigo's POV:

Jett's so annoying, why can't he just see that I'm just as capable as him, he just sees me as some sort of kid.

Since we got out of Hydra, I've been searching for relief for when I get angry or my feelings get too much.

I finally found my relief when I started making friends at school, even though I was only 14 and in middle school.

I scrambled through my backpack until I finally found the little bag of magic white powder. It's not a great habit, but I don't know how else to deal with my feelings and I can't tell Jett, he's already got a lot on.

Finally, I felt peace and I felt calm, something I've not felt in a while and generally only feel on a high now.

"Indigo, are you in there?" I heard Wanda ask as she knocked on my door.

'Shit, no one can know I'm high!' I thought to myself as I quickly hid the rest of the cocaine.

"Uhh yeah but I'm about to take a shower, what is it?" I quickly made up an excuse.

"I just wanted to check on you, do you want me to come back in 10 minutes?" Wanda offered.

"Yeah that would be good thanks!" I called back through the door before running into the bathroom and turning the shower on.

Normally it takes about 20 minutes for me to come down from a high when I've snorted so hopefully Wanda will take a little longer than 10 minutes to come back.

I finally got out of the shower 15 minutes after getting in, it felt weird as I normally don't shower at this time of day but it was nice. I quickly dried myself off and put my sweats back on before going back into my bedroom.

"Oh my god, you scared me" I gasped as I walked in and saw Wanda sat on the end of my bed.

"Sorry, it had been 10 minutes, I was worried" she stood up and told me.

"I'm fine, so what did you want to talk about?" I asked as I sat down on my bed and Wanda sat next to me.

"Well you seemed upset after talking to Jett and I just wanted to make sure that you were alright" Wanda looked at me with sympathetic eyes.

"Oh umm yeah I'm okay, thanks for asking" I softly smiled back at Wanda. She seemed to really care, I mean Jett cares about me but more in a survival sort of manner, Wanda seems to really care about my emotional state.

"It's okay, look I know our situations aren't the same but we're kinda in the same boat, I know it's hard being young here and settling in, how would you feel about training with Nat and I in the morning?" Wanda offered.

"For real? That would be amazing, I was getting so stressed about training with everyone because there's no way I'm ever going to be as good as all of them" I admitted to her.

"So you think Nat and I aren't as good as everyone else?" Wanda laughed.

"No no of course not! I just meant that all the others seem so judgemental and you and Nat seem kind, like you wouldn't judge or laugh at me if I messed up" I shrugged.

"It's okay I was just joking, and you don't need to worry, no one on the team would ever truly judge you but I know exactly where you're coming from so you're welcome to just train with the two of us" Wanda softly smiled at me.

"Thank you, that really means a lot" I said as Wanda put her hand on mine.

"You're welcome, now why don't we go outside for a walk to clear that head of yours?" Wanda suggested.

"Okay sure" I agreed as Wanda pulled me up and practically dragged me outside.

Jett's POV:

After Indigo stormed off to her room, I gave her a few moments to calm herself down before going up to see what was going on.

"Jett, do you have a moment?" Mr Stark stopped me just as I was heading up to the living quarters.

"Oh sure, is everything okay?" I asked as Mr Stark led me down to his lab.

"Yes fine, I just thought you'd be interested in having a look around the lab, given that you make your suits and everything" Mr Stark said as we got in the elevator.

"Wow that would be amazing, thank you!" I exclaimed as we headed down.

"No problem, now tell me about your suit designs" Mr Stark demanded as the elevator went down.

"Okay well they both are made from very light material, I made an alloy of Kevlar and simple cotton so they're also bulletproof and lightweight so we can move around fast, Indigo has wrist tasers which are new and my suit has these kind of sensors so it will alert me if things are coming up behind me and I'm also working on an invisibility function but that's tricky" I explained.

"Wow kid, you have talent, anyone ever told you that?" Mr Stark asked me as he led me into his lab.

"No Sir, I've always kept my tech to myself and Indigo is the only one I've ever had to share it with" I told him absently mindedly as I took in his lab, it's incredible in here, tools everywhere and developments of all kinds underway.

"Please call me Tony, anyway you have access to my lab for the time being whilst I have a lab set up for your exclusive use" Tony told me.

"Woah thank you so much, that's incredible" I thanked Tony.

"It's nothing kid, we need more young talent like yours and it would mean a lot to me to be able to support it" Tony explained.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me!" I told Tony before he took me around his lab and gave me an in depth tour of everything he's working on at the moment.

Indigo's POV:

"Thanks Wanda, I really needed that walk actually" I grinned as Wanda and I sauntered back into the kitchen to grab a snack.

"You're welcome, I always find going on walks helps me to relax" Wanda told me as she passed me a bottle of water.

"Hey guys, where have you been?" Nat asked as she walked in and grabbed herself a bottle of water.

"We went on a walk, and Indigo's going to be training with us in the morning!" Wanda told Nat.

"Fantastic! Has Wanda told you what time we start though?" Nat cheekily grinned at me.

"No, please don't tell me it's like 5am..." my heart dropped, I hate getting up early.

"Not that early, but we meet in the training room at 6:30" Nat laughed.

"Okay that's still extremely early but maybe I can deal with that" I said.

"You'll get used to it, trainings mostly fun anyway" Wanda told me.

"I hope so, I still just feel so out of place" I shrugged.

"Honestly you're not out of place, you're right where you need to be, especially if you want to maximise your opportunities with having the powers you have" Nat explained to me.

"Thank you, I just really don't want to mess this up" I admitted.

"You'll be fine honestly it takes a lot to get in trouble around here" Nat told me.

"Yeah and besides even if you mess up, you're too much of a valuable asset to punish" Wanda smiled.

I laughed before the three of us wandered into the living room to watch more movies.
