the abandoned mystery

chapter 1

I drove to the one place i had been dying to go with my best friend, may, it was an old abandoned restaurant for kids from the late 90's early 2000's. I spotted the restaurant and May's car, I parked next to her car and got out waving to her. She walked over, her arms full of candles, crystals and other random summoning items. I shook my head, a look of disappointment crossing my face.

"I was joking about summoning things, you know"

She moved the stuff in her hand clumsily behind a jacket she had.

"Oh this isn't um that stuff it's just food."

I laughed rolling my eyes and looked towards the building, it was quite large. It was only one story with what looked to be an attic with a small window at the very top. There was a range of graffiti all over the outside of the building, multiple windows were broken and covered in cardboard. A damp smell blew towards us from the ajared door, I turned back to may,

"Ok to start i'll tell you all I know so far about this place, So it was a restaurant that had an arcade, food, and a band of animations to entertain the kids. It was said there were three of these animations, a dog named ruffs, a bird named Marty who was like a parrot, and lastly a horse named charily. Over time the place began to decline in quality since it wasn't being taken care of , it smelled awful and was complained about a lot by the parents. After some time the health department came to the place, after many calls and they found the bodys of 12 kids brutally stabbed"

May made a face causing me to laugh lightly.

" That's not even all, it turned out that the owner of the place, Kienan phitz, had killed the kids as some kind of sacrifice so he could have eternal life. But it's said he was one kid short before he was caught and tried to do the ritual anyways, but because he was missing that last soul a demon dragged him to hell and took his place on earth and possessed an animatronic kienan had built to have eternal life in. People say that they still see that animatronic inside this building, and describe it as a matted rat dog wolf thing that oozes a dark gunky liquid like oil that smells like rotting flesh, and that it looks to be decaying from the inside out. Some even say that they could see a rotting human body inside. But that's about all I know so far, so that's why we're here, to document more."

I pulled out my small hand camera I planned on using to make videos for my youtube channel so we have video proof if anything happens. May looked at me kind of confused and had a hint of fear on her face.

" you never said anything about a haunted animal suit things"

I walked over to her and pulled her to my sid emphasizing the building with my hand.

"and what would have been the fun of telling you and risking the chance of missing out on exploring this building"

"Exactly i wouldnt have come"

"Oh come on it will be fun, now hurry were losing precise light "

I walked towards the door waving her to follow, she glared at me but then walked over and followed me inside. The smell wasn't any better than it was outside, just stronger, making me regret not picking up the masks may suggested we buy. We looked around spotting the front desk you probably payed at, all shattered into pieces, I stepped around glass and ceiling panels, the more I looked at the graffiti walls and broken floor and ceiling panels the more excited I became, may didn't seem to be sharing in the excitement I had.

"How about we try finding the main stage then see if we can turn the power back on"

May nodded her head and we headed off down one of the halls turning on my flashlight, the deeper we went the less graffiti there was and the more like blood the smell became. We found our way to a large stage, multiple long tables with damaged table clothes on them. I walked to the stage and exclaimed, causing May to hurry over to me.

"What, what is it did you step on something, are you ok"

"No, no i am fine just look"

I pointed to the stage in front of us, Three large figures stood on the stage all in various disarray.

"Oh, my, god"

"Right there all intact"

I excitedly turned on my camera and began filming the suits, I then turned the camera to may.

"So should we go try turning on the power see if they work"

She rolled her eyes "How about I stay behind and set stuff up"

"Ok, sound good, just don't let the animatronics get you while I am gone"

She shook her head, hitting me lightly on the shoulder. I pointed the camera in front of me wanting to catch anything and everything now that we were "deep" into this place.
I walked down the hall opposite of where we came from looking for the power box. I spotted dead animals that looked to have been almost bitten into, and chucked the smell up to their rotting bodys. I stepped past them entering a room that looked to me like an old security office.

"Oh boy this is where kienan used to work"

I looked around spotting papers with weird writing and crucifix pictures on them, old monitors sat on the damp desk covered in cobwebs, a small plush dog that looked like the animatronic ruffes sat next to the keyboard. I spotted a large panel box at the back wall behind the office chair, I stepped over the rubble and opened the box seeing a bunch of switches and flicked them all on, a low hum sound all around me as light began to flicker on, one of the light above me flickered then popped causing me to jump, i walked back to the door of the office and noticed one of the monitors was on showing the show stage, i could see may setting up a summoning circle. I laughed to myself seeing her doing that then I noticed there was something moving on the stage. I leaned closer to the monitor pointing the camera at the screen and saw that all three original animatronic were now standing but a fourth was standing behind the three. It was very tall and looked grossly rotted and falling apart. I then realized it was the animatronic everyone talked about, the demon, as I realized what it was it began to move towards may who seemed oblivious to it. I pulled my face from the monitor and began to run back to May hoping to get to her before this thing did. I shouted her name as I ran, tripping on broken pieces of floor, I then heard a loud piercing scream.
