Russetfur's decide

"Sightkit! Where have you been, we were searching for you over full territory! We though you are dead!" Russetfur woke up, from that yelling outside her and her mate's den. "What's happened?" asked reddish deputy and yawned. "I don't know." grumbled Blackstar and confidently went out from his den.

"What is in name of StarClan happening here?!" Every cat outside became calm. Russetfur decided to look what happening - she is deputy of ShadowClan, she must know about everything, what and where happened. She trotted out from her den and leaped on her place on Clanrock. All cats were gathered in the middle of the camp.

"Blackstar, Russetfur! Sightkit is back!" called Foxtail - her only daughter and also medicine cat of her Clan. "Sightkit?" Russetfur was surprised same as her leader and mate. Sightkit was kitten of ShadowClan, but she was born with blind eyes and her mother died while giving birth to her. Sightkit couldn't be accepted to became apprentice, because no one trusted she could do same as any other cats in ShadowClan. They all though that she tried to show, she is strong enough. They are though she died, but... she was there. Her big blue blind eyes were looking on her from group of cats. Sightkit went to her and on path elegant and softy came around other cats. "It is nice to smell you again, Blackstar and Russetfur." She looked on both of us like if she could see us, but she couldn't! That isn't even possible!

She was now lot of bigger, than when she saw her last time. Her long black fur was soft and smooth. She looked even better than some of ShadowClan warriors! Was she a kittypet, while she was gone?

"Sightkit?" silence was destroyed by Blackstar: "where have you been? We though you are dead." Her white muscular mate with black feet meowed to her. "I am not Sightkit anymore. I am Sightpaw!" purred Sightkit: "and I was with ThunderClan warriors - Goldenheart and Stormcloud on path to find ourselves... StarClan sent me!" Russetfur showed her claws. ThunderClan. They are so weak! They accept every kittypet, loner or rogue, just because they ask for it.

"ThunderClan?!" Blackstar split out that word, like it was peace of crow-food: "Then why you didn't stay with them! If they think blind cat can be warrior!"

ShadowClan cats started calling the same. Then Sightpaw called: "Silence!" It was loud. It must hear also in WindClan. "Because my destiny is there." meowed more calmy black she-cat: "My destiny is to be warrior of ShadowClan. ThunderClan is amazing place. But it isn't my home. I understand you don't trust me, but I can be warrior! Just like you Blackstar" Blackstar face was cold and emotionless. "Russetfur? What do you think?" grumbled her leader. Russetfur looked on Sightpaw. She showed confident pose, and her blind eyes were saying: "Gave me chance."

Russetfur looked into group of cats. "I think, we should give her chance..." every ShadowClan cat started yelled, something like she don't deserve it. "That's enough!" called Blackstar: "Russetfur, continue." "I will have training fight with her. She doesn't need to win, but show she deserve to be one of us." Blackstar nodded: "Do you accept, Sightpaw?" "I do!" Sightpaw meowed and looked on Russetfur with small smile. Russetfur leaped down and take fighting pose. Sightpaw did the same, but her pose looked little different. Camp was silent and every cat was waiting who will start a fight.

Russetfur looked into Sightpaw's eyes. That blind blue eyes were telling. "Go and try win over me." Russetfur leaped into air. Sightpaw stood on place, but then. On last moment blind cat jumped away from Russetfur's paws. ShadowClan deputy fell of the ground. Before she could wake up, on her back stood Sightpaw. She was surprised, but she will win over this kitty. She stood on back legs and Sightpaw fell on the ground. Russetfur fast laid her paw on black cat's throat. Sightpaw bite to her paw and started scratching her russet belly with back legs. Russetfur leaped into air and let Sightpaw go.

Russetfur wanted to leap on Sightpaw again, but blind cat was faster and dashed into her throat. Russetfur fell on ground again. Sightpaw let her wake and asked: "it was enough for you?"
Russetfur with surprised sight looked to Sightpaw. In her blind pale blue eyes, was fire. She was ready to continue the fight if it will be necessary. She heard around her how cats of ShadowClan whispering:

"That's impossible!"

"I guess Russetfur is getting old."

"Russetfur! Show her, who are you!"
Russetfur failed fight with blind 'paw. Even she felt bad for it. She decided to look like it is end.
Sightpaw came to her. Then Russetfur leaped into air and tipped Sightpaw to the ground. "Congrats, Sightpaw. You won, but you still have many things to learn." Then russet deputy let black 'paw go. Sightpaw thankfully nodded to Russetfur. "Good fight." She meowed. Russetfur just nodded and jumped to her place on Clanrock.

Cats over Sightpaw were silent and waiting on what will their deputy tell.
Russetfur take a breath and started: "We all though she is weak, just because of her eyes, but we were wrong. That was my biggest mistake in fight. Taking her like kittypet, who never fight before." She looked over all gathered cats and then to Sightpaw: "Today she showed, sight are not making a warrior. But it's heart. And Sightpaw have heart of a warrior. She deserve to be apprentice of ShadowClan."
Many cats were angry and didn't trust what they just heard. Blackstar was looking on his mate with unbelieving sight. "Are you sure, Russetfur?" He asked.

Russetfur meowed: "I am."
Blackstar looked down on the blind she-cat. She was looking on him ready to next trial. After while of silence, Blackstar meowed: "Sightpaw. If you want, you can become apprentice of ShadowClan, but if you will not be name warrior and you will be excited from ShadowClan. Do you understand me!? ShadowClan can't look weak!"

"I understand very well, Blackstar and it will be honor be apprentice of ShadowClan." Sightpaw said.

"Then." Blackstar looked over his Clan. "Is there someone, who want to be mentor to Sightpaw?" Many cats were hissing and trying to tell, he must have bees in brain to let blind cat in ShadowClan.

"I will." Meowed Russetfur. Blackstar looked on her. "Russetfur?"
"You heard right, I want to be her mentor." She looked little aggressively to her mate.

Blackstar gave another sight to Sightpaw, who was surprised just like him. "Then... Russetfur, you will be Sightpaw's mentor. I trust you will give her everything you can give her."

Russetfur jumped down from the Clanrock and let Sightpaw touch her nose. She found it clearly, just like she could see it. When she looked into apprentice's eyes, Russetfur saw something. She saw storm cloud in shape of cat on the something like Clanrock. Cat's eyes were two big stars. Was it an omen?
