I can't believe that I am actually getting married! Sam is like my whole life, love, heart and career. I cant be any happier than right now. I look out to the crowd. Oh god, it's huge! Mine and Sam's parents in the front row, Kate, Kylie and Taylah, my bridesmaids lined up on the right with my daughter Emma as the flower girl and Jake, the best man and Sam's twin brother, on the left.

As the music started my dad grabs my hand.
"Ready Hun?" He asked with more excitement than he has ever had.
"Y-Y-Yeah I guess." I stutter

I take the first step towards my soon to be husband.
'I'm not ready yet!' My mind yells
Then the second.
'No I must do this!'
Then the third.
'Nope definitely not ready'

And that was it, I bolted from the alter. Who was I kidding, I'm definitely not ready to get married! As I run down Elstree Way I finally realised what my life will be like if I do this again. I stop at Premier Inn London Elstree Borehamwood. This should be a good place to stay.

After I book myself a room I ring my 14 year old daughter, Emma.
1st ring
2nd ring
3rd ring
'Pick up Emma!'
4th ring
5th ring, "Hello?"

"Oh Em, it's me, Mum." I sigh in relief.
"Mum! How could you leave dad at the alter like that?!" She whisper yelled.
"Emma honey, I wasn't ready to get married. Don't get me wrong, I love your father with all my heart but I-"
"No buts dad is panicking like crazy and grandpa has had a heart attack!! So sorry about your little stunt but you will never, NEVER get to talk to me again!" She cut in
"Em don't be so rational about this. I'm your mother!"
"Yeah a mother without a daughter."
"Emma!"

And she hung up.
My our blood and flesh, hung up on me!

I lay on the reasonably comfortable mattress crying. This isn't what was supposed to happen. right now I should be heading off in the limo with my handsome husband and amazing daughter not crying my eyes out in a motel.

I decide to take a shower and a nap.

***3 hours later***

I wake up refreshed and ready for a new life. I noticed that the comfortable mattress from the hotel room has been replaced by my bed. I turn over to see my half broken alarm clock. Well when I say half broken I mean extremely broken! Who new that if you smack the sleep button really hard that it would spilt half way into two. I turn over and see my amazing fiancé, Sam by my side. But one thing doesn't seem to be right. Sam, never has his back towards me. I roll him over and he doesn't look like Sam at all,
he he he has the jokers face plastered over his face!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Sweat has begun to pour down my face. Its just a nightmare, It's just a nightmare.
After what felt like hours I get up and take another shower before leaving the Inning.

I head home, or what I thought was home. As I pull up in the drive way I am greeted by a lot of horrible and upset faces.

"Why Lily, just why?" My mum asked
"Lily, I thought you loved me." Sam's saddened and upsetting face looked up at me.
"Sam listen." I pleaded.

Then my daughter, wonderful and delightful daughter walked out of the house.
"What's SHE doing here?" Emma hissed

"Em, Sam, I've come to say sorry. I shouldn't have walked out on you guys like that, but I, I panicked ok and I don't want you to think that I don't love you Sam, but I'm just not ready to get married." I answered back.

"Well guess what it's to late "mum" dads moved on and has already been remarried."
Remarried!!!! I haven't even been gone for that long!
"Well if he's been remarried than where is your "step mother" than?"

"Emma the cookies are re- oh, Sam you didn't tell me that we were having guests."
"Jennifer this is the run away bride I was talking about." Sam replied hastily.
"Hi you must Lily then, I'm Jennifer, Sam's NEW wife that DIDNT leave him at the wedding alter." she said like a real cow.
"Jennifer!" Sam exclaimed.
"Go Jennifer, beat that old ungrateful cow!!" Emma cheered.
My own daughter cheering for her step mother!

"Oh trust me Jennifer, I am definitely not a guest!" And I stormed out.

***3 years on***

"Are you sure your ready for this Lily?" My dad asked for the second time.
"Definitely." I replied with full confidence.

"Do you, Mike Stafford, take Lily MacDonald to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Said the celebrant.
"I Do."

Ok this is it.
"Do you Lily MacDonald, take Mike Stafford to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Said the celebrant yet again.

"I ..... Do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

And it all ended with a kiss.
