The Boys

As soon as i saw Carly I dropped my suitcases on the steps of the house and ran into her arms. Carly is like the big sister i never had.
When i was younger and Adam was off doing his band thing she'd come over and babysit me. As we got older and she grew closer with adam we'd hang out just the two of us. No babysitting involved.

"I can't believe you actually said yes!" she'd lifted me into the air and twirled me around

"Are you kidding? Spend the summer with you and a bunch of hot band boys? How could i say no"

"Gross" adam said walking by

"I'm kidding i'm kidding" i said to him and rolled my eyes when i faced carly. It quickly turned to a grin as i took her in. She looked like she was thriving. Her hair long and so so curly. She finally stopped straightening it. She was sunkissed. Bronze in all the brightest places with the slightest blush sitting atop her cheeks. As if she was born of the earth beneath us.

"You're a goddess carls did you know that"

She blushed and turned away grabbing my hand and leading me in. "You have to meet the boys"

I was greeted at the door with a shy looking boy. fluffy. cute. his hands in his pocket. I look to carly and she lifts her eyebrows a couple times.

"welcome. Grace was it?" he said letting me in. His mother raised him well o could already tell. So kind.
"Gracie" i corrected with a smile. "Or grace. whatever you want"

"Alright then Gracie" He folded his hands together and bowed. He crossed his legs and gestured for me to come closer in.

"This place is capital!" The ceiling went to the second level. The windows made it so bright. There were plants hanging from the top railing falling all the way down to the first level. A touch i could tell was Carly.

"Your room is up there and at the end of the hall. Carly can show you"

"Sweet sweet sweet" I liked him. He calmed the nerves i'd had. "Where's the other boys? Do they live here too?"

He walked to the couch and plopped down. I followed after and sat across from him. "They have rooms here but they're in and out all the time. I wouldn't count on seeing george much. Matthew on the other hand. Is everywhere all at once"

I tilted my head to the side

"You'll see"

Adam and Carly finally made their way in and joined us on the couch. We chatted for a bit until i'd heard a door open upstairs.

"Matty home?" adam asked ross

"he went out earlier. george must've woken from a nap"

"Morning sleepyhead" Carly yelled up the stairs

"oh fu- No one thought to wake me up? You didn't tell me she was here"

I hadn't looked back yet. I was still a bit shy. But when i had a familiar face was at the bottom of the stairs. "No way" I jumped up and over the couch. his eyes were wide and a huge smile grew across his face. He opened his arms wide and i took at as an invitation. I jumped into him. he lifted and twirled me.

"I thought your name was claire?!!"

I pulled away but we'd kept our hands on eachother in disbelief. "I totally lied? you think i'd give my name to a stranger?"

I'd remembered other people were in the room and turned back.
"Explain??" Ross laughs in awe

"We'd met at the bar the other night we-" I cut him off immediately. My brother does not need to know any details and draw any conclusions

"He had a set there! Dani loved it. We'd spoken after. I had no idea he was your mate?" Yeah that sounds believable
"Why didn't you tell me you brought him along when you were in town" I asked adam.

"He was only there for that set. And he had quite the long night apparently" he winked at george and my heart nearly dropped. He would not be winking if he knew that was me "and slept in through breakfast. as you can see he's always asleep"

"whatever" he rolled his eyes and we hopped over back onto the couch.

And just then the door open and a curly haired boy in ripped jeans and a white tank stumbled in. He didn't seem to notice me as he was babbling on about something not looking in our direction.

George interrupted "matty matty"

He looked over and when he saw me he grinned. Smugly he walked over and held out his hand for mine.
"And who might this pretty lady be?" He kissed my hand. Usually my cheeks would flush but i was a tad bit amused.

"Gracie" I giggled to him

"My sister." Adam interrupted sternly

Matty turned his head toward adam. rolled his eyes and dramatically turned his body to walk away towards the kitchen. "Don't we have anything other than .. in here" He was rummaging through every cabinet.

"and now you've met the menace" george whispered into my ear

"i think i quite like him" i retorted

"YEAH she likes me"

okay finally everyone's introduced now let's get into the good stuff 😈
