Sakura POV

I ran my fingers through my hair as my head was rested against my desk. The minutes had started to feel like hours as I was waiting for my shift to end. The endless paperwork... the tiring hours of healing and dealing with.... people... it was slowly getting to me.

The clock ticked slowly behind me, reminding me that it was actually seconds that were passing; not minutes. Everything about this day sucked, and I'm ready to be in my bed. I'm honestly tired of getting hardly any sleep.

"Sakura..." Lady Tsunade growled at me. "I can keep you longer if I feel like it.... doing nothing is not going to get you home sooner."

I glanced up at her, her eyes were like daggers. I flinched, going back to my paperwork. I mumbled, "Sorry.." quietly as I read over a few reports. I started to put them into two piles; which ones I was going to take home to work on, and which ones I was going to leave with her while I was on break.

Thinking about break was getting me excited. Naruto and I had planned this break for the longest time, and now it was finally becoming a reality. Since Naruto was declared "the hero" he hasn't had much time to himself. Kakashi had decided to take him under his wing so sooner or later; Naruto will be declared the next Hokage. It wasn't like he wasn't excited or anything. But he was ready for a break. Just like I am.

Of course working at the children's hospital had it's perks, but honestly it was tiring. I wake up at pretty much dawn and work until dusk. I don't have much time to myself since I'm one of the few medical personnel that this village has. Ino is slowly getting trained, and Hinata is a lot closer to being finished. But thanks to Ino and Tsunade; Naruto, Hinata, and I were able to go on a vacation for a few days. She thought having less staff would give her more of a push to train harder.

"Oh Sakura.." Tsunade started pulling me out of my train of thoughts, well more like pulling out of my daydreaming of my vacation, "I forgot to tell you that Kakashi was wanting you to come to his office after you got done with work."

I glanced up at Tsunade from my papers. My eyebrow raised. "Kakashi wants to see me? That's a first." Kakashi focused most, if not all, of his time on Naruto now. He never made time to stop by and say hello to me anymore. And if he did it was Naruto related.

"Sakura don't be so bitter." Tsunade snapped, placing her glasses down on her desk making her glare look more intimidating. "Kakashi is a very busy man. He's planning on stepping down soon; and it's better to have a trained Hokage then a Hokage who has no idea what he is doing. Knowing Naruto; he's going to need all of the work he can get."

I nodded with a sigh, not wanting to put up a fight with Tsunade. I already have more things than expected to do once I got off of work in just a few minutes. I didn't want to make things longer than needed. "Okay... I understand." I murmured glancing out the window. The sun was just setting, the beautiful spring day outside was coming to an end. And I didn't get to enjoy any of it.

"But anyways.... after that you're good to go. Just make sure you go to Kakashi." Tsunade said placing her glasses on her face and turning her chair away. "Enjoy your break; god knows you needed it."

"Any idea what he needs?" I asked as I grabbed my final pile of papers. I was going to have to work on ten reports on my week of vacation. Hopefully I can knock them out the first few days, and enjoy the rest. But I know the procrastination is itching to come out.

"Nope not a clue." Tsunade said without even turning to look at me. "Bye Sakura." She's such a liar.

I decided I didn't really care once I exited the doors of the hospital into the freedom of fresh air. Kakashi could honestly kiss my ass. It still felt great outside, even though it was dark. The fresh air smelt amazing, compared to the dust and sickness I was surrounded by. Scratch the dust part- I'm sure Tsunade would throw a fit if everything wasn't sterile.
