"How are you feeling?" she finally asked after breaking down.

You couldn't help but feel pity as you stared at her disheveled figure, Shinobu was definitely worried sick for the days that you weren't awake. Because of your recklessness, because of someone who never looks at you the way you want it.

Your hands balled itself up into a fist unconsciously ay the thought of her suffering just to keep you safe during recover.

And with that. You gave her a small smile, "I feel a bit fuzzy but I'll be fine."

A sigh of relief could be heard from the insect pillar's lips as her dazed purple eyes stared at your tired ones, she was about to say something. Only to step when a rush of heavy footsteps came towards where the both of you are now.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAA! [FIRST NAME]-CHAN!" a screech followed by a thud greeted both of you.

You could only wince at the sound, but when you saw who it was. You almost stifled a laugh.

It was an excited Kanroji with a Giyuu who fell on the floor, though you didn't know why. But he seems to be in a bit pain which made you furrow your brows in concern.

"Is Tomioka alright?" you manage to ask the love pillar who nodded aggressively at your question.

It wasn't a surprise that the water pillar came to visit you as he always does that whenever you had a hard time, though him and Shinobu don't get along quite well with each other. The way they are able to tolerate each other's presence with you around makes you admire their professionalism, but sometimes they argue over things calmly.

But of course, you'd be lying if you say it's calm.

"I'm glad that you're awake now" Tomioka, who's still laying down on the floor by the way– said before collecting himself up with the help of Mitsuri who muttered a few apology to him.

It was rare for him to express himself when there were other pillars in the room, since he isn't the one who'll suddenly say something about his thoughts and emotions. Giyuu was someone who doesn't speak unless it's necessary to.

But with you, he was able to express himself and be a bit goofy. The raven haired male may not be the loud and proud type of goofy, but he still manages to joke around and tease you calmly.

You smiled at him in gratitude, he's been there for you so much that you just feel like it would have been right if it was him that your heart wants.

But of course that wasn't the case.

It has to be the other raven haired male.

"What happened to Iguro after the incident?"

<•>

Iguro stopped from his killing spree with a glare towards the pathetic demons, his heterochromia eyes held venom as he watched them turn into ashes.

"You sure are riled up, guess something happened between you and Kanroji?" Uzui, the sound pillar asked in amusement as his eyes observed the serpent pillar's now  darkened aura.

He was able to hold back his laughter when the shorter man answered.

"It's none of your business."

It was true, it was none of his business. But seeing him this fired up to kill demons made him poke into what happened, since he clearly didn't know what was going on. Were the two finally dating?

"I do find your situation right now kind of flamboyantly amusing" he told him.

Iguro on the other hand didn't say a word before leaving the other pillar behind, not wanting to talk to him for such a long time. Despite being co-workers and in the same rank, he doesn't find the enjoyment talking to them on a daily basis. Iguro doesn't feel like talking to them because what are there to talk when he had the love pillar?

But after what happened the other day, he doesn't seem to think that he'll be able to get her acceptance. As Mitsuri clearly held a big spot for you in her head and that made him flare, why was it always about you anyway? You're nothing special, you're just someone who got into the higher ranks because of something.

His brows furrowed at the grip on his sowed tighten, "How can she be so special in everyone's eyes?"

Meanwhile Uzui stared at his retreating figure, his red eyes watch him disappear in the forest. His expression turning into a knowing smile when he heard his question.

So it wasn't about Kanroji after all.

Was all he could think about before making his way home towards his three wives.

It was tiring catching up with the three of them, Mitsuri was definitely the most draining one to talk to as she was crying her heart out for thirty minutes straight with Shinobu comforting her with her usual smile. While you and Giyuu stared at the two blankly, but of course you didn't last long and finally a big smile appeared on your face.

"Being asleep for a long time sure is tiring and relaxing at the same time. I'm just glad I wasn't dead" you told them with a chuckle, the three of them had different reactions concerning your joke but you just shrugged it off and stuck a tongue out at them.

"I know you guys are worried, but hey. I'm already fine."

Shinobu immediately disagreed about it though.

"You still need to be checked from time to time, and after that I'll say if you're already fine. You aren't the one to decide that" she say before standing up from the floor, "And I hate to cut our time short. But the three of us have to be going, there's a lot going on with the demons. They keep coming."

You furrowed your brows in concern, "Is there anything I could help?"

They were quick enough to decline your offer which made you chuckle at their eagerness to keep you in bed until your full recovery.

"Then I guess that's a no." You smiled, completely satisfied as they walk out of the room.

Now that you're all alone in the room, your thoughts lingered to the time Iguro saved you from your recklessness once again. A blush rushed up on your pale cheeks, though you know he only did that because he was obligated to as a pillar.

But still.

It was something that you quite cherished, a new bud of hope filled your heart because of it.
