before u read-disclaimer THIS IS NOT REAL!!!!
The fuse had went off. After a long anticipation across the entire night, finally, the energy bursted out and large fluttering rays of endless colour streaked across the sky. However, another fuse had been released. And this time, it wasn't something as endeared by the public. No, it was Leg's pent up rage. Far away from the festival in which fireworks glimmered off the seamless water, Leg was experiencing her own bursts of colour, and all she saw was red. Murky posters slid off the walls, ripped papers posed a hazard to anyone entering the room, and the sheets had nearly slipped off her bed. Now, this wasn't out of the ordinary for Leg, but it was unclean in a way unusual for Leg, it was messy out of anger, not carelessness.
Leg sprinted out of the house, like a man possessed. She had just checked instagram, and saw a useless scum of a man, Raaj post a story with HER girl, Bakubro. Raaj better have prayed hard the night before, because Leg was about to commit some unfathomable things to him.
Leg posed herself against the bus stop. Her rage slowly resided. I guess bus stops just suck the pride out of people. However, the bus was going to take nearly 10 minutes to arrive. Great. That was too much time to think, by the time she arrived at the city, her anger would've subsided and she'd be in a firework induced trance like the rest of the dummies there. Leg tried to focus on what Raaj had done to her girl, but the longer she waited, the more it just felt like what she was doing was... futile. I mean, Bakubro, the "girl of her dreams", as she thought, was just a girl. There were plenty of fish in the sea, and going to the fireworks would probably be a great way to net some better, less Raaj involved people into her life.
But... Bakubro had been the only person in a long time to make her feel so happy. No matter who she talked to, no matter how compatible they were with her, Leg couldn't help but feel unfamiliar with them. It was as if Bakubro was the only person she'd known her her life, and when they talked it was like they had been living each others lives and understood each other with perfect comprehension.
Everyone else was just an outlier.
"Kshrrrrrrrr", the bus had arrived, and the smell of gas had completely shut off Legs train of thought. Yuck, Leg's sinuses may not have been the best functioning, but gas was a smell she could never avoid. She slowly stepped onto the bus, and heaved herself up and plopped down onto a seat. It was going to be a pretty long ride, around half an hour. She had completely lost her previous thoughts, but she knew the more she thought about it the more attached she'd be to Bakubro. Leg refused to admit that yes, she did like Bakubro, and that she had so much leverage over Leg's emotions. Plugging in her earphones, she rest her head on the window and let the music take her on a ride of their own.
Endless houses streamed by, but finally, she had reached the city. The bars that upheld the Harbour Bridge turned into a blur, and the towering buildings with their glimmering windows painted the city. It was a lively night, and many had gathered to celebrate the New Year, hence the fireworks.
She'd arrived at her stop, but was a little delayed in getting off- there was a beautiful food truck parked nearby, and she couldn't help but stare for a bit and contemplate buying one. I mean, she could smell it from inside the bus.
No.
Leg was quickly reminded of her goal after seeing a couple walk past, and she got off the bus and raced towards the docks. The fireworks were still going strong, but they had lost their original glamour which they had at midnight, the same way Legs' rage was nowhere near as intense as before. But still, it was enough for her to push through the endless crowds leaving the city, to find Bakubro.
There.
