Chapter One|| Why?

My name is Niki Kasenham, I am thirteen years old, and this will be my last thing I write. Why? Well,

It all started when my mother met a tall man, who definitely didn't have anything together. She met him at a party, and they went upstairs, to their own private room. A couple months later, she found out about her pregnancy. She cried for days.

I don't really know if it was an excited or devastated cry. All I know, is that she cried for almost a whole week. Also, this may not come as a surprise, but her parents weren't very happy with this. They also cried. It was a whole house of non-stop emotion. But when she went looking for the man who did it, he was nowhere to be found. And so, a few months later, there I was.

Mama was about nineteen or twenty the day I was born. She wasn't really sure on how she was gonna raise a baby, she thought she wasn't gonna be much for taking care of me. Even so, she did it. She successfully bathed, fed, and clothed me. You may not believe it but, she was a pretty good mother.

About three years later, she met a rich lawyer who she moved in with, taking me along with her. I never called him dad, which my mom was very curious why, but she never asked. We lived with him for a couple years, and when I was about six or seven, they decided to tie the knot.

Yup, that's right. Mama and that lawyer got married. We still live with him right now. Mama and him are getting in a lot of fights lately. Oh, I'll mention something you might wanna know. That lawyers name is Joe, but mama always calls him, "Sweetie", and "Darling" and things like that. I don't understand why she likes him so much. He's so plain, and boring. I don't like him much. Ever since then, I've kind of been living the same life ever day. At home, at least.
