A One-Sided Street [Poem]

A jester or a fool,
'Twas I, wanting to adorn a jewel
My queen you are,
Now I bear an unrequited scar,
Nothing but respect
Thought my heart may be wrecked,
The decision I'll protect
Wanting more with fear of loss,
The faked smile bore in head-deep moss
Sunken and empty was all I could feel,
Guess I went in with too much zeal
Eyes for no other,
But you only loved me like a brother
Help is what I need,
Feeling like I bring this upon myself,
A self-pity inner-bleed
Guess it could be worse,
You could be leave with a curse
At me, for another
The one you'll call a true lover.
