*Chapter sixteen-Apologies*

I didn't feel like myself. For the rest of biology i kept my head down and i stayed quiet. I wondered what Sierra was thinking.What if somebody in this class will tell Brian what had happened. The bell was going to ring in a minute. I wanted to be the first one out of this classroom.I opened my bookbag and i put my notebook and pencils inside my bookbag. Students had started to stand up. I had quickly stood up and i had walked to the front door. My next period was math. In my head i was telling myself not to skip again. I had walked quickly to my math class which was on the second floor of the school. I had walked to the stairs but i had ran into somebody.I had gasped and i tumbled backwards.When i looked up it was Matthew.Both of his hands were around my waist."Matthew...?" i said.His brown eyes were wide."Its funny how we just ran into each other " he said."Yeah" i said looking down at both of his hands still around my waist.He had quickly dropped his hands and put them in his jean pockets.I thought about the last few days when he seemed busy and what had happened in the cafeteria.He was wearing a white muscle t-shirt with khaki shorts and black and white van shoes.Matthew was attractive but I've never looked at him in a way like that."Well i have to go to class...i don't want to be late" he said.There was a gleam in his eyes.He had put his book bag strap on his right shoulder and he had started to walk out the door into the hallway.I got the urge to say something to him before he left.I wanted to apologize...but for what."Matthew...im sorry" i said. Matthew had stopped ."Lexis its okay i should be the one apologizing to you" he said. "I shouldn't have left you in the cafeteria that day when i was..angry i should have talked to you on the phone and...i should have just listened to you" Matthew said.I felt my stomach drop."Im sorry too- "You shouldn't be" Matthew had said cutting me off. I looked down. "If you're into him i can understand..." Matthew said.He had turned around and walked into the hallway.
