What do you know, what do you know,
You silly old crow?
What do you know of the falls,
Or the light of dawn?

Have you ever seen the red lights torch the sky,
Heard the sound of thunder or the shrieking cries?

Have you seen mothers panic in fear,
Farewell their children in dreadful dreams?

Have you felt the fear of playing outside,
Fearing the world might break and collide?

Have you ever felt a stranger in your home,
Perhaps not your home but where you were born?

Have you ever had to call your friends up,
Fearing their lives might have come to a halt?

Have you ever heard thunder echoing on the streets,
Getting closer, as it held you from your dreams?

Have you ever wondered why,
Even though my murder is self-explanatory, You don't hear anyone cry?

Perhaps not, for you are a crow, To stay is a choice but you can always go.
When I was alive I had a dream, To travel the world and soak in its gleam,
But the world replied in an apathetic voice, "You silly young child, you're Palestinian and you have no choice."
