Jo's been acting a bit off recently. She hasn't been able to fully workout with Brick like she used to. Brick needs to find out what's been on Jo's mind but Jo's one tuff cookie to break.

Brick's pov:

"Hey Jo, finally up for working out again?" I ask as Jo walks through the gym doors. She doesn't reply. Is she okay?

"Uh Jo?" I begin but she cuts me off.

"WHAT!!" She yells at me.

I walk over to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked her quietly.

She grumbled and shoved my hand off her shoulder.

Jo's pov

Ugh. Why did I do that? Just because of these annoying fuzy feeling? Brick's my friend, I shouldn't push him away like that but I can't let anyone see me as weak. Not even my friends. And this headspace is the weakness I'll never let anyone see.

I was spiraling while pumping iron when Brick put a hand on my shoulder. "Jo, are you okay?" He asked me as he nealed down. For some reason that made that fuzzy feeling grow in my brain and it made me want to cry. God, why am I like this?

Brick's pov

I noticed Jo's eyes start to water and her face scrunch up more than usual. "Jo" She dropped the dumbells and grabbed ahold of me. "Jo, hey it's okay." Was she crying into my shirt? "Jo what's wrong?" She didn't respond. "Hey how about we get out of here?" She nods.

We both get up and walk out of the gym. When we get to my car, I try to talk to her again. "What's going on Jo?" I look over at her. I've never seen her so sad before. She was looking down at lap, I could tell a few tears were going down her face.

"I-i" She started but she didn't finish the thought, shacking her head instead.

"Jo, you know you can talk to me right? I'm here for you." I said to try and convince her to tell me what's wrong.

She muttered something I couldn't understand. "What was that Jo?"

"It's all stupid." She said a bit clearer this time.

I looked at her confused. "Jo your feelings aren't stupid."

Jo's pov

I rest my face on my hands while stared out the window. Why did the fizzies have to come right now? "Buwt" I stop myself I knew he wouldn't take that as an answer.

Brick gave me a sympathetic look. "Jo just tell me what's wrong. Please."

"I sowy" Dang it. I let that voice out.

"Hey it's okay Jo. But I just don't think that whatever you're going through that you should go through it alone." He said sympatheticly "Talk to me, please."

"I sowy" I cried. "I don know"

Brick looked at me" Hey that's okay Jo. Not every emotion has to have a reason behind it."

I continued crying, through the tears I muttered "wealy?"

"Yes really Jo." Brick said with a bright smile.

When we got back to the house me, Brick and Anne Maria lived in I was so tried from crying. Brick had to carry me into the house because I was too tired. And for once I didn't care, I was too tired to.

He put me down on the couch and I was out like a light. When I woke up the fuzy feeling was still there. I could hear Anne Maria and Brick talking in the kitchen.

"I just don't undastand. Why did you carry her inside?" Anne Maria said in a quiet voice.

"She was really tired so I did what any friend would do." Brick responded in a similarly hushed tone.

"Whad you guys talkin bout?" I said without thinking as I stepped into the kitchen.

They both turned to look at me. "Oh um we're talkin bout you, Jo." Anne Maria said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Remember when I carried you inside? Anne Maria was just asking about it that's all." Brick said to me.

"Okay!" I said then walked away to go to my room and play with the toys I have.

Brick's Pov

"Okay what was that about?" Anne Maria asked.

"What was what about?" I replied.

"Why was she talkin like a kid? And why were you talkin to her like she is one?"

"Because I'm pretty sure she's an ageresser." I said in a defensive tone.

I could see the gears turning in her head as she tries to remember what that means. "Ohhh" She said as it finally clicked.

"Mayb you should'a go check on her." She said. She was right, but Jo might not be in the right headspace to talk about it.

"You're right. I'll go make sure she's okay." I said as I walked out of the kitchen.

I opened the door to Jo's room to see her sleeping. Maybe I should just let her be, we can talk later.
