What To Know
1. Rixon "Virgil" Mürdoch is heir apparent to his deceased father's throne, expected to carry out the same sacrificial acts and tyrannical schemes as generations have done before him. However, no one wants to be forced into a life they don't want to live. Virgil is against murdering innocent people, but is compelled to do so by his father's ghost as punishment for his defiance. When he meets the lovely Esmeralda, a young girl who has a sweet scent of roses, he feels uplifted from his inner circle made of a prison and finds solace in her compassion (and their courtship.) However, when Virgil begins to have strange sentiments of physical love for Esmeralda, his enraged father casts a curse upon her, for when Virgil unknowingly kisses her, she will surely die... But how can such a devious curse be lifted? Is there ever such a thing as a happily ever after when death is the wedge?
