Chapter 7

I was walking to lunch now! Do you think Jackson will sit with me or do you think I have to go and be a man?! I don't know but I wanted him to come to me. I was in the lunch line and grabbed a pizza and a piece of bread, with chocolate milk, and sat down with my other friend Kaylee. She was a shy, but sweet girl! She always had a smile near me and Jackson. I don't know why though? I set my tray down and sat swim next to her. It was just me and her and about to be Jackson with us. Then I heard a lot of yelling and screaming. I went toward the crowd and I saw Jackson and some other kid. The kid was saying some stuff about me but I couldn't hear. I then saw the kid start coming closer to me and his hand was in a fist. He then started running at me screaming! What was I going to do?! Then Jackson jumped in front of me and took the blow. He was as fast a lightning and every punch the kid threw he managed to dodge and block. I was amazed but I had to stop it so I ran and grabbed both the kid's arms and put behind him so he could not punch. Jackson was about to punch him while he was defenseless, but I yelled," Jackson don't it will only make it worse!" He stopped put his hands down and released his fists. Then the teachers came running in pushing kids away and telling them to back up. There was even a police officer running in too! They told the kid to go into the office and asked us what happened. Jackson said," that kid was saying stuff about Shelby and was running toward her to punch her so I took the punch and blocked all his punches!" I then added in," yeah and then I grabbed his arms and put them behind his back so he couldn't hurt anyone. We didn't attack anyone nor did we attack him we just held him off till y'all could come and take him. That's all." The teacher looked at me and smiled and said," Jackson well thank you for taking the punch but we are still going to call you parents and take you to the nurse to make you two are ok! We will tell you parents what happened so don't worry about getting in trouble you two are very responsible kids!" We walked to the nurse and at the same time the teacher called out parents to tell them what happened. When everything was done in the nurses office we sat down on the couches in the office and just held hands so that nobody could see us.
