It was an early Monday morning when Freen set off her alarm clock that had been ringing for a few minutes now. She groaned silently and pressed her pillow onto her face. As much as Freen liked school and learning new things, she always had trouble getting out of bed as any normal young adult.

She went into the bathroom that was attached to her bedroom to brush her teeth, brushing her hair before grabbing her backpack, with the books she needed that day, to swing it onto her back and heading downstairs.

Ever since Freen joined college she's been living on her own. She convinced her mom by making a list of the pros and cons, as a nerd does. Her room would be silent and cosy for her to study in, being neat but with different pillows and blankets across the floor, which her mom doesn't like when Freen does that at home. She will be able to make her own sleeping schedule along with her homework schedule which would differ from her mothers, since her mom would consistently make loud noises while packing boxes at home for her shop.

Freen always loved helping her mother make packages for costumers. It was sure one thing that she would miss about living at home. Quality time with her mother. Though, she promised whenever she was free or done with homework she would call her mom to talk about their days. That way, they kept each other close.

Finally taking the pillow of her face, she stared at the alarm clock. Noticing she didn't have much time left, her eyes widened, getting out of bed quickly. Since she didn't have enough time to sit down quietly and have breakfast, she decided to head straight out of the door into her car, to make sure she had some time to grab some Starbucks coffee on the way. She took her phone out of her pocket and rang one of her friends.

''Morning P'Nam. Do you want anything from Starbucks? Ask the others too'', she asked the other girl as she started driving, connecting her phone to the Bluetooth speakers of the car.

''Ahh, nong! Did you wake up late again'', the other girl giggled at the other side of the phone. She's one to talk. P'Nam was one of the friends she hung out with at school. Just because she cared about school and gets straight A's, doesn't mean she doesn't have a social life. Just... after homework.

P'Nam therefore was the total opposite. She admired Freen for being able to always focus on schoolwork and be one of the firsts to finish. Nam always had trouble finishing her projects due to her lack of concentration and love for parties.

''You're one to talk. You're always late'', Freen sighed, shaking her head and scoffed. Nam ignored her and put the other two friends on the line as well.

''Morning Peeps! Anyone want Starbucks?'', Nam asked happily through the phone. They all gave Freen their orders while hanging on the phones to talk about their weekends. Freen ignored her friends for a while when giving their orders to the Starbucks employee. Even though they almost have all their classes together, they always called like this in the morning. Because in the classroom, Freen wants to focus.

Freen waited in the drive through while listening to their friends conversations. ''Freen! Did you hear me?'', Nam asked. ''What?''.

''Pay attention! We're getting a sub next week for Ms. Yuki'', P'Nam said. She was rather happy about it, but Freen was not. She usually didn't like new teachers. Especially if they're ones that replaced the once's she liked. Besides that, teachers always have their own way of teaching things. Which is normal, of course. But change wasn't something Freen was comfortable with.
