Right after Shin-hye spoke, Lisa was struck dumb.
His original intention was to use a child to tie Jennie in order to increase her sense of belonging to him so that she could not leave him.
However, upon hearing Shin-hye's words, he was finally enlightened. He had been overly focused on children which had instead infuriated Jennie. As a result, she could not wait to separate from him. He had put the cart before the horse.
When Shin-hye noticed Lisa's change of expression, she knew that he had heard her words. She heaved a sigh of relief and continued to advise him, "Now, you already know where the problem lies. listen to me, put up with Jennie for this. Otherwise, don't regret it yourself and blame me for failing to remind you of this."
Upon hearing Shin-hye's words, Lisa's expression darkened. Yet, he did not say anything further to refute her.
Just then, the two suddenly heard Jennie and Rosé's loud laughter rising from behind.
Shin-hye looked in the direction where the voice came from and was greeted by the sight of the two adults and two children interacting harmoniously. She moved her gaze and seemed to have thought of something. She pulled Lisa happily and took the initiative to go up to Jennie.
Tae-joon had been following closely behind Shin-hye. When he saw this, his almond-shaped eyes flickered and he seemed to have realized something. He followed them.
"Rene, Jennie, Leo..." Shin-hye called out to them warmly. She brisked up her pace and came before Jennie and the rest.
"Madam Manoban, Mr. Manoban." When Jennie saw Shin-hye and Tae-joon, she nodded her head politely. However, when she caught sight of Lisa who was behind Shin-hye, she decided to ignore him coldly.
Lisa, who had been treated as if his presence was invisible, fell speechless...
When Rosé saw his younger cousin being put on a spot, she felt incredibly gleeful. However, at that moment, she could not express her feelings. She could only hold her laughter back, and greeted the two elders.
"Aunt, Uncle, when did you guys arrive? I didn't see you around."
"We've just only arrived. You were busy so we didn't come over to you. Where's Chu?" Shin-hye cast a glance at Jennie before she turned around and spoke to Rosé.
When Shin-hye heard her husband's name mentioned, she smiled and said in a low voice, "Dudu is hungry, so Chu is preparing milk for him."
"That's how it is." Shin-hye nodded her head. Then, she paid attention to the two children. She cried out happily, "Leo!"
"Grandma Shin-hye." When Leo heard Shin-hye call him, he replied sweetly to her. Shin-hye had been making trips down to the Kim family these few days, so she had grown close with Leo.
As Shin-hye looked at her precious grandson, her heart melted. She cast another glance at the child opposite Leo. She realized that Leo's finger was in Dudu's mouth. Dudu was sucking her finger like he was sucking...
Shin-hye was stunned. She exclaimed in shock, "Leo and Dudu, these two... what's going on?!"
Rosé and Jennie locked gazes upon hearing Shin-hye's words. They let out a bark of laughter again.
"What are you all so happy about?" While the two were laughing, suddenly, a silvery voice that came from a male rose from behind.
Jennie froze. She looked in the direction where the voice came from and was greeted by the sight of a man in his twenties who was walking toward them.
The man was dressed in light blue formal wear. He was smiling faintly and holding a bottle of milk which totally did not match his appearance.
Generally speaking, this combination should provide an amiable impression to others. However, Jennie instinctively retreated.
This was her first time feeling this way about someone. She never felt like this even when she was in the military school and met those instructors who were insanely strong and capable.
This man was very strong, at the same time, he was dangerous as well! Why did she feel this way? Perhaps, this was a woman's sixth sense, or to be precise, a beast's instinct.
Jennie was greatly alarmed when this man was approaching them. Her face subconsciously turned ghastly pale, and her hands and feet were as cold as ice.
While Jennie's entire body was stiffening in place, and stared wide-eyed, not knowing how to react as the man was getting close to them, a warm hand stretched out to her and held her icy cold left hand. She was snapped out of her daze.
"Why is your hand so cold? Do you want to put on some clothes?" She heard a familiar voice that carried a hint of worry.
Tonight, Jennie was in a knee-length dress. It was already late summer, but there was still a huge temperature difference between day and night. The temperature at night was much lower than during the day.
Jennie turned her head around and met Lisa's eyes that carried a hint of worry. The tension she felt just then vanished within an instant. Instead, the feeling was replaced with slight embarrassment. "I'm fine."
Lisa cast a glance at her in a displaced manner. He then looked in the direction where she had been looking at. The next moment, he seemed to have realized something, and he slightly frowned.
"In the future, when you see Big Brother Yi, don't look into his face, especially his eyes."
Upon hearing Lisa's advice, Jennie was once again stunned. On second thought, she understood that My Lisa was kindly reminding her not to confront the person's most prominent features.
It looked like she was not the only one who noticed that person's terrifying presence and great strength.
The people beside her had placed their attentions on Jisoo. They did not notice the brief exchange between the two.
Jisoo came up to Rosé. He passed the milk bottle of average temperature over to Rosé, and gave a peck on her cheeks. He simply ignored the presence of the many guests including the elders.
Rosé's face turned red, and she looked down. She was so shy that she glared at Jisoo fiercely. She pretended to focus on feeding her precious son to calm her reddened face as a result of her husband's teasing.
When Jennie caught sight of this, she was surprised to learn that the way the man looked at Rosé had softened up. Even the smile that arched across his lips appeared more sincere. He looked completely different than before.
Of course, this happened only when he was interacting with Rosé. When he looked at them, he resumed his normal self.
No, to be precise, he became more restrained as he cast a glance at them. He no longer looked as cold and dangerous as if confronting strangers opposite him as he approached them from afar. It could be because he was currently in contact with Rosé.
Jisoo saw his wife rolling her eyes at him which was nothing threatening. The smile that showed up in his eyes grew increasingly prominent.
When Rosé looked down to feed their son, Jisoo turned his head around and greeted the two elders, "Aunt, Uncle, you guys have arrived."
Shin-hye and Tae-joon seemed to have gotten used to this. Tae-joon nodded at Jisoo, while Shin-hye sized Jisoo up and said with a smile, "Chu you have lost some weight compared to last time."
"Is it? This guy often fights for food with me. How could he lose weight? Apparently, he has gained more weight!" Shin-hye complained at Shin-hye while stuffing the pacifier in the baby's mouth, saving Leo's finger that had gotten soaked wet from the baby's licking..
