I bit my left cheek inwards as I tapped my foot impatiently. "Hurry it up."

Hearing the annoyed tone in my voice, he straightened up and turned around, a stupid smirk decorating his face. "Looks like the princess knows no patience."

What a pain in the ass

Despite my groans and sighs, Taehoon had no urgency to move faster. So it fell to my decision whether to kick his ass forward or not.

I did.

He yelped a single 'ouch' and immediately glared at me. I returned to him with a genuine smile. "Your kick didn't even hurt."

"Your pride hurt much, huh?"

At this, Taehoon shook his head and sped up. We were supposed to meet with the Hobin Yoo Company- or as we like to call it The Crew- this afternoon, but Taehoon thought it was funny enough to mess around amidst the lazy crowd of people. He stopped at flower booths as if any of those fascinated him and went over the place to look at the various flowers the place had offered. It was so hot out, I could've sworn if it wasn't for the portable fan, I would've passed out.

His figure was easy to spot, and honestly a sight to behold. I mean, his back is clearly defined, his t-shirt hugging his body like it was its guilty pleasure. So when it suddenly disappeared from my sight, I panicked. I looked left and right, his overgrown hair nowhere to be seen. "Damn it, what is he up to now?" I rambled as I picked up my pace.

Suddenly, a strong grip held my wrist as I was yanked back. My head immediately shot back, only to meet his brown eyes once again. "You... asshole! How could you leave me all of a sudden?" I was upset. He didn't seem sorry though. If anything, he was grinning. I glared at him before searching for whatever the hell he was up to now.

"Sorry, I got distracted," Taehoon said as he brought forward his other hand that was tightly wrapping a bouquet of light blue flowers. I stood there in awe, the burst of colours invading my emotions as I settled into a certain tranquillity. "Are these for me?" I asked in a small voice, disbelief painting my face. Taehoon just nodded as he shoved the flowers to me. "Just take it, dumbass," he added while looking away.

I looked out the window of the car, a heavy downpour distracting me from the piercing pain in my left leg. My parents thought that it was best for us all to move here to Gangbuk. They said it was way too traumatising for me, but I don't give a damn. Honestly. But I don't mind. I have no friends that I would miss anyway. I should be able to restart here, right?

I could've sworn the doctors said that I need rest, so why am I forced to accompany my mum so she can greet the neighbour? She told me his name. Seong Hansu, was it? He has a son of my age. I was putting up the best smile I could muster up, but the ache in my leg wouldn't give me a break. I trembled as the wind blew colder. The rain had stopped, but it was still cold out. I just want this to end quickly. Why isn't he answering the doo-

"Hi, you must be the new neighbour! Welcome to Gangbuk." A man, whom I assume to be Mr Seong, opened the door. "Yes! Thank you for having us, Mr. Seong. This is my daughter, L/N Y/N. Say hi, Y/N!" I gasped at my mum's words. Me? Introduce? I haven't even made the facade I was planning to be!

"H-Hi Mr Seong, I'm Y/N and I'm eight years old. Thank you for having me." I said with a winning smile. "Hello, little Y/N. You're pretty strong huh? That leg seems all good already!" Mr Seong said with a warm smile. I felt my cheeks grow hot. Mr Seong is so handsome and nice, but HE'S OLD!!

My mum and Mr Seong kept talking as I stood and waited next to her, fighting off any urge to groan in pain. I let my eyes wander around until the corner of my eye caught a movement behind Mr Seong. A boy. That must be his son!
