Sometimes, you never know how these streets are gonna snatch you up. Most people get caught up in the drugs. Dealing, feeling the hustle of fast money. Or, or the people who need to find a get away, the strung out, the addicted. Others prostitution, just being a whore for personal reasons. Money, Gangs, or you have no where else you can go. So you survive the best way you can. The ghetto.. That's what most people call it. But nahh where im from, we not ghetto. We just take care of business. Working a nine-to-five is a cover up. Government can't get mad at you getting money working for them, with them, and against them. We smart too. Book and street smart. Yeah some people got GEDs. But people around here actually got scholarships, people who actually graduated college, masters and all. But stay in the streets, only cause it's their home. Only thing they know is the streets, the 101 on survival of the hood. We can act civilized in the white society. But let that one muthafucka fuck up, then we lash out and let the nigga from deep within us come out.
But why call us ghetto? Because our neighborhood is run-down? Because the poor lives out on street? To be honest the hood runs more money than the suburbs. It's not legal, but we can actually be some rich people. We push more money through the streets then government push through yall paycheck. But we ghetto and poor? Let me give you example of ghetto. Tyasha, the female two doors down. Eight kids, six baby daddies, fake ass long ass finger nails, weave never right, section 8, ebt card, child support never used on the kids, and plays the government any chance she gets. She is ghetto, selfish, triflin' . But me, Rain , im straight hood!
