I hear a knock on the bus door, but the person doesn't wait before walking in. Mick told me to stay on the bus while they perform, and I didn't want to upset him so I did as I was told.

"I'm not supposed to be here." It was Jimmy's voice. "But here I am, Ria."

I look up at him to see his hands full with a box of drinks. "Mick is going to get mad, you know?" I say matter-of-factly to Jimmy as he places the drinks on the table.

"Mick may be your father, but he isn't mine," he says. "Now, can I get you a drink?"

I roll my eyes. "If you say he's my father one more time I'll kill you," I say sarcastically. "And I'm not supposed to drink."

Jimmy sits down next to me with two bottles in his hand. "Who told you you couldn't drink?" He questions with a smirk on his face.

I cross my arms and look at him, frustrated, and take the drink from his hand.

"That's what I thought," he says, clearly satisfied. "Thought you'd want a seltzer, 'cause you're a lady and all."

He tosses the top of his beer can on the floor and pops the tab on my can while I held it. "This is your first time having alcohol." I think he was asking me as a question, but it came out more like a statement.

It was true. I haven't had alcohol before, but I don't know how he would've known that. "That's not true," I state, causing Jimmy to chuckle.

"I don't believe that for a second," he says, turning more toward me. "You're not even going to finish one drink." The way he smiled and looked in my eyes made me blush. I tried to act cool, but I know my cheeks were redder than ever.

"You wanna race?" I challenge. "I'll finish more drinks than you." I don't know why I felt so confident with myself. For some reason, I can't imagine that a little alcohol will make me very drunk.

"You're on, Ria," he says. His hand reaches for my can and he brings it up to my mouth. "I'll start when you do."

I lean my head back and drink the first sip. It didn't even taste like alcohol. I liked it a lot. "So brave of you. You like it?" Jimmy says before taking a sip of his own drink.

I nod my head. "I've had them before," I lie, making Jimmy laugh again.

"Glad to hear it," he says. His hand that wasn't holding onto his drink grabs my empty hand. He brings it up to his lips. "I had to get rid of the seltzers somehow." I could feel his warm breath on my hand. He gave my hand a quick kiss before putting it back on my lap.

"Tell you what, Ria," Jimmy starts. He was five drinks in and I was three. His speech was a little slurred and I felt kind of funny myself.

"What, Jimmy?" I ask and look up at him. The alcohol definitely made me a little more outgoing. My voice was louder and I was laughing more than usual.

"If you win, I'll believe that you've drunk before, ok?" He says.

"Perfect. I'm already winning," I say, even though I wasn't.

Jimmy nods his head. "Sure, tell yourself that," he says. He pushes my hair behind my ears. "And, on the off chance I win, what do I get?" He smirks at me and I return it.

"Well, what do you want?" I ask, inching just a little closer to him. "Make it anything because you won't win."

"Anything, huh?" Jimmy confirms. His arm loosely wraps around my body. "You have to convince Mick to let you spend the night with me. My bed."

If I thought I would lose the challenge, I wouldn't have accepted. There was no way Mick would let me, and I wouldn't want to go back on my promise to Jimmy.
