The rain poured down as Y/N stumbled around while putting on her rain boots. She was excited to go outside because she loved puddles and the rain. The smell of rain was probably one of her favorites, right after the scent of fresh baked cookies.

"Put on your coat," her mom scolded, "I don't want you to catch a cold."

"I know, mom," she responded as she put on the neon green coat. Her mom was always worried but protective. Especially when it rained because there's quite a few injuries that could happen.

"Bye mom!"

"Bye, sweetie. I'll see you in a bit," she called out before the front door slammed shut.

Y/N danced around in the rain and walked through a couple of streets. She saw a younger boy come out of a house with a paper boat in his hand and went up to him.

"Hi," she spoke softly, "I see you have a paper boat. I don't have one but it would be fun to see yours go. What's it called?"

He didn't respond but pointed to the name of the paper boat, S.S. Georgie. She smiled at him as he looked up and smiled back.

"My brother Bill just made it for me," he says with a wide smile as they start walking away slowly.

"That's a nice name, my name is Y/N," she told him.

"Georgie. Georgie Denbrough," he said with a soft smile and tone.

"You also have a nice name. Very fitting for you," she said as she twirled.

"Thank you. I'm gonna let the boat float now," he said and let it down in the water that went against the curb.

They both followed it as it raced down the road. They had to start running not too long after as it was extremely fast.

"Woah this boat is fast," Y/N says.

"I know,  I can't keep up," Georgie says, sounding out of breath.

After he said that, it went down a storm drain.

"What the."

"No," Georgie exclaimed, "I can't lose that! Bill's gonna kill me!"

"I'm sure he won't kill you," Y/N said as they both got down to look for the boat.

They then get spooked by a clown. He befriended them and then It did something odd. Y/N had stood up from being tired of bending over and Georgie kept talking in that stance. It then grabbed ahold of both Georgie and Y/N. She was able to break free with skin scratched up and a cut on her left leg that was in the shape of a sharp claw cut. However, Georgie was not that lucky and he got pulled down by the clown as Y/N ran away.

She cried as she ran back to her house and ran up to her room. Her leg was still bleeding but she didn't care. She held onto her giant teddy bear as she had the feeling and scene replaying in her mind like it was a movie.

She didn't know it yet, but that was the beginning of living hell for her and the newfound friend group she would soon encounter.
