                                                                              The ruins of the great

A cursed villain is one who believes them self a hero.

Delving deep in visions she knew this one was different. Her surroundings filled in, clean walls and fluttering curtains. But in the peaceful scope there lived an unwelcome presence. A coffin of gold, strange inscriptions covered the steel. Celestial felt a chill crawl up her spine. "It's terrifying isn't it?" She spun around, shoulders tense. She inhaled sharply as she studied him. His eyes cold and blue, his scar a punishment for trusting the gods. "Why are you doing this?" Celestial rasped. "Are you listening to yourself?" He retorted, he turned towards her and she had to double back. No longer did he hold the trusting warmth she had blessed, he was shrouded in a darkness and anger that she couldn't understand. "The gods are horrible, they leave their children to fight their battles. They're paranoid and cruel and, why am I explaining this to you?" He let out a loose laugh, though there was nothing joyful about it. "You, are imprisoned on Olympus as we speak, because the gods fear you, the fates spewed a prophecy about you and now you are bound to chains." He hissed out. "And you're questioning my choice of taking them down." Her face burned, her punishment wasn't supposed to reach his ears, but how long could it remain a secret? "I saw you as a hero, but in truth you were always painted as a villain, I guess there was nothing I could have done about it." She breathed heavily, "But I did do something about it, I blessed you with fortune. It was probably the only way you stole the bolt. Yet here you are, my luck wasted away on your terrible actions." He stumbled back as if he had been slapped as his eyes traced back to the bandages peeking out of her sleeve. "I-" Cruel laughter silenced the room as the dream blurred and faded into darkness.

Eyes wide her heart had skipped a beat, the reality of the titan lord rising finally set in.

Celestial gently clasped Apollo's outstretched hand with a small smile. "I'm alright, but I think the king of the gods just grounded me." The sun god burst into laughter, his blue eyes sparkling in relief. "I'm just glad you weren't blasted," he reassured her, but his expression told her he would have taken much more drastic measures at her expense.

She wrenched at her chains before dropping her hands with a sigh. Apollo met her foggy gaze before strumming a few cords on his guitar. She felt a wry smile flicker onto her face as she stared at the engravings of the instrument. Celestial vaguely remembered the nights blinking tiredly at her blueprints under the dim glow of her desk lamp. And then bringing it to life, carefully crafting the wood under the blacksmith god's instruction. Finally she had presented it to the god of music himself, the wood had been fashioned with carvings of suns and twinkling stars. It had been the first time she had seen him cry.

To see him still using the basic instrument made by her hands brought such joy she blinked furiously and averted her eyes from his intense stare. Celestial glanced at Apollo and found him humming softly to himself. 'Savor this peace'

With enemies arising there could only be so much to do until the war broke through the battle.

"Kingdom please," "I don't want to, it's not my quest, it's not even a quest." "But you could bring him back" The messenger god pleaded weakly but she had made her choice. "Somethings just can't be changed Hermes." She winced at her own words fingers gripping the ledge tightly. "Please."

"What are you?" "A blessing, now shush." She curled the golden fleece around the young girl who was writhing in pain. "I mean, are you a goddess?" "A god in the right mind would have blasted you six feet under by now." Celestial retaliated to the young hero. "I like her she's got spunk," "You're dad won't quit calling me a punk."

Celestial stared distantly as Clarrise La Rue ascended in the cab with the fleece, sure to return to camp as a hero. She dug her fingers into the palm of her hand before glaring up at the sky ready to curl up and pretend this had never happened, but the Fates had different plans.

Her head was already pounding in stress of meeting the one who would one day save her.

She clawed at her captor, their arm holding her in a choke hold. But as her eyes traced to the familiar blade that was aimed at the son of the sea god she knew she had no chance. "Hey cuz, welcome back to the states. " His arm dug deeper into her throat as Celestial squirmed. "Let me go," Celestial's voice came out strained. "I might..." His voice was playfully considering. "I knew you were stupid, just never realized how immature you were Luke Castellan." The boy growled. "Enough."

Her fingers itched towards the pen stuck in her hair, when Perseus threw a drachma at the son of Hermes, he dodged easily, but failed to notice the Iris Message that took place behind him. Celestial took advantage of the foolish plan and scanned the ship for exits. Her head snapped towards Luke as he bellowed in rage slashing his sword through the fountain. He gave the young hero a murderous glare, "Kronos was right, Percy. You're an unreliable weapon. You need to be replaced." A whistle sounded and the doors opened to a dozen more warriors. Luke smiled cruelly at Perseus. "You'll never leave this boat alive." In that moment Celestial whipped out her fountain pen and pointed the glowing sword at Luke Castellan. "I'm afraid you are in risk of the same consequences."

The boy glowered at her before his face broke into a sympathetic smile. Her gut wrenched with emotions but she kept her weapon aimed at the young man. "You didn't tell them did you?" Her knuckles turned white from the tight grip on her blade. "They didn't need to know, neither did you." "And yet here you are, against your will." A bead of sweat cut down her eyebrow. "Enough chitchat and let us go." She snarled, aware of the silence that had bloomed on board of the ship in p;ace of their argument. "Or you could join us and be free." There was silence as Celestial's fire faltered. The son of Hermes held out his hand, an easygoing smile on his face. Her heart plunged but she knew this was not the end, she knew there was something better out there than cheating her way to freedom. She let her sword fall before swinging her fist just as Perseus lunged for Luke.

Her eyes traced the trails of blood trickling down her fingers, for once it wasn't hers.

Her gaze was glassy as the centaurs traveled at top speed, before stopping at their makeshift camp. Celestial curled up under the shade of a tree, hand still trembling. Something caught her eye; shining black feathers. She shot up from her sitting position and stumbled after the bird, leading her to a closed of space from the centaur camp. The sun crested raven perched on her shoulder just as she was tackled in an embrace. "Hermes is so stupid, why'd he send you? You didn't tell me, look at you, you're ruined." Apollo muttered under his breath gently tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I'm alright," Celestial whispered. The sun gods gaze hardened "I didn't realize the definition of alright changed over the past few centuries." He breathed, rolling up her sleeve to reveal the nasty scar that was no longer bandaged. She inhaled shakily, "I didn't want to believe it," Celestial whimpered, "I knew he betrayed Olympus, and when I saw him in my dream I could tell he was colder, but there was something about seeing him in real life, because it hit me hard Luke Castellan was a villain." She sniffled and buried her nose in the crook of his neck. The god tightened his fingers against her back, a dark look arising in his expression.

The reality set in the truth heart breaking, there were the villains and the heroes.
