⚠︎︎TW: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS LOTS OF CA (CHILD ABUSE)⚠︎︎
•~3rd person P.O.V~•
Beatrice still wasn't home by lunchtime, not that anyone was complaining. Garrett had left a long time ago,  but he had to text Beatrice telling her that he was leaving. Rachel sat on the couch in sweatpants and one of Miguel's hoodies that he'd given her because it was 'too small for him' but Rachel knew he was lying. It was the same size as all his other hoodies, she knew that he just wanted to give it to her but she just accepted it with a smile. Kennedy as in her walked right beside Rachel, while Elaine sat in front of the coffee table doing a puzzle with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing in the background.

Rachel was having a fairly mild depressive episode. She had no motivation to do anything, she just wanted to sleep all day, and she would've if she didn't have kids to take care of. Although she was awake, it was almost as if she were asleep. She was in a dazed sort of state, where she'd stare at nothing and go back to a memory of her and Miguel or a memory of her and her Dad. She'd just bathe in that moment, wishing more than anything to go back to it. Rachel was pulled from her memory of learning karate with her Dad when the door slammed open and then slammed shut behind Beatrice. Elaine quickly stood and ran to Rachel, curling into a ball whilst burrowing into Rachel's side. All Rachel had to do was look into Beatrice's eyes to see that she was fuming.

"What the hell is this?!" She shouted, slamming a newspaper onto the coffee table. Rachel froze, there was a picture of Rachel and Miguel hugging on the beach, from yesterday. Rachel had gotten careless, she'd eased up too much and had forgotten to look for the press more frequently. "I give you everything. I give you a roof over your head, I give you food, I gave you an entire fan base but you can't follow a simple set of rules!" She shouted, spit flying onto Rachel's face. Rachel was ready for Beatrice to yank her up, to beat her, or to throw her in the basement. "I've warned you over and over, Rachel!" Beatrice shouted, yanking up Elaine by her arm. Rachel's eyes went wide, suddenly all of the energy that she'd been lacking earlier had all come back to her as she shot up from her seat.

"Mommy!" Elaine cried as Beatrice gripped her arm even tighter while Elaine tried to squirm and get away.

"What the hell's wrong with you?! She's a kid!" Rachel shouted, her heart pounding in her ears.

"I told you what would happen if you disobeyed me and you did it anyways! Shows how good of a mother you are." Beatrice started to drag Elaine, Elaine tried to pry her hand away from her arm.

"Mommy, help, it hurts!" Rachel didn't know what came over her, but she jumped over the coffee table and kicked Beatrice into the TV stand. Rachel gasped as she grabbed Elaine, Beatrice didn't move, her eyes didn't open, but Rachel could see her breathing.

"Elaine go to my room, now." Elaine ran down the hall while Rachel quickly picked up Kennedy and ran into her room whilst locking the door behind her.

Rachel had done this ritual many times before. Lock the door, give Elaine half of a melatonin gummy, put ear muffs on Elaine, lay Elaine in the bottom of the closet, cover Elaine up as if she were sleeping, make Kennedy a bottle, put the boppy in the bottom of the closet right beside Elaine, lay Kennedy in the boppy, give Kennedy her boppy, and shut the closet doors.

There was just one more step Rachel would be adding. Pull out the phone and call 9-1-1. Rachel knew how long it'd take for the police to show up and she knew that Beatrice would be awake soon. She had to make the call quickly and straight to the point.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?" Rachel could already hear Beatrice shifting in the living room. Rachel didn't have anything to barricade the door, so she sat with her back to it, hoping it would help in some way.

"My grandmother, Beatrice Sinclair, is about to beat the shit out of me," Rachel whispered, maybe Beatrice would be so out of it that she wouldn't remember anything.

"What? I'm gonna need you to elaborate." Rachel whimpered slightly, taking a large gulp of air.

"My grandmother, Beatrice Sinclair, has been physically abusing me the entire time I've been in her custody. I pissed her off, really bad this time, I'm gonna need medical help and I have two kids hiding in a closet. Please help me."

"Okay sweetheart, what's your name?"

"Rachel Sloane Lawrence, I live at (address), I have two daughters, Elaine Blue Monroe, and Kennedy Faith Diaz. Elaine's actually my cousin but I've taken care of her ever since she was born, her parents are both dead so you'll have to call my Dad to pick her up." Rachel gulped, as she heard Beatrice standing.

"What's your father's name?"

"Johnny Lawrence, he lives in Reseda. My biological daughter, Kennedy, her dad is Miguel Diaz, and he lives in Reseda too. I-I know I'll get beat before you get here and I'll get beat bad but just please hurry up." Rachel cried, pressing a hand to her mouth.

"The cops are coming as fast as they can."

"I need someone to tell my daughters that I love them, that I didn't just leave them, I died protecting them. I never wanted them to see anything like this, I just wanted them to be happy."

"Rachel, you're not gonna die."

"Tell my Dad I love him too, and that I'm sorry I was an asshole teenager. Tell Miguel I love him more than life itself, he's the only person I actually considered marrying. Tell Daniel, Amanda, Anthony, and Sam that I love them too and that I appreciate them being there for me when my Dad couldn't. Tell Robby that I love him and that he's a great brother. Tell Tory I love her too, that I don't blame her for anything and nobody else should either." Suddenly Rachel heard Beatrice banging on the door that Rachel's back lay against. Rachel yelped, her cries were now able to be heard as she shook with fear.

"Rachel?! What's going on?!"

"I want my Dad, I want my Dad!" Rachel shouted, Beatrice, hit the door with something causing the phone to fly from her hands and the door to fly open.

"Why do you even watch the news?" Miguel asked, chuckling. Everyone, even Miyagi Do, gathered to celebrate the disappearance of Cobra Kai.

"It's fun to see the dumb fucks that got arrested." Johnny laughed as he sat down next to Daniel.

"I think I've seen you on the news before, something about drunk driving." Johnny glared at Demetri, sometimes the kid could be funny, and other times Johnny found the kid annoying as hell. Suddenly, the TV became loud as the words 'breaking news' ran across the bottom of the TV in big, bold letters.

"Breaking news, reigning karate champion, Rachel Sloane Lawrence otherwise known as the Boogeyman was found in her room beaten half to death. Her two children, Elaine Monroe, and Kennedy Diaz were found sleeping in the bottom of her closet. The culprit, Beatrice Sinclair, has been arrested and is being held for questioning." A video of police officers guiding Elaine out of the house while another held Kennedy played while the news reporter spoke. "Police were only led to the home by a disturbing 9-1-1 phone call made by Rachel. Police say that Rachel's children were perfectly fine but Rachel is in critical condition. She's being held in Los Angeles Community Hospital, you can donate money to help pay for Rachel's future surgeries and hospital bills. There will be a documentary made in her honor, and a release date will be released as soon as possible." Johnny froze, as did everyone else, as they all looked at each other.

"Diaz, let's go."
