The Sun and The Moon

One lonely evening, The Moon whispered to The Sun:
"Await for me til the break of dawn
 Engulf me in your warmth,
Dance your rays of light on my pale skin
And when the morning comes, run away with me
We'll meet at the end of the galaxy,
So our love can finally be free.
And the stars shall dance for your beauty, my one and only"

The Sun said, with teary eyes:
"My love for you will forever go on
Beyond the constellations, Centaurus and Orion,
Our stolen kisses shall fly between the rings of Jupiter
And only the Gods know when this pain of mine will end...
We're condemned by a sick curse
To hide our love from the mortals
 Spineless creatures, purely devious
 I die for you,
 To give you life
 I die for you,
 To give you life!"

On hearing this that very night,
Mother Earth,
 With her heart shattered,
 And her mind ablaze,
Made it so that one blissful day,
The Moon could meet her beloved.

The humans named that day a solar eclipse,
And all gawked at their divine embrace.

 Lovers that mould forbidden love
Share their pain to The Moon
She wipes their tears off and promises their hearts will find closure soon
The Sun comes and blesses them with renewed hope
Gives them the strength to move on.
