He was ecstatic. He was anxious. He was practically sprinting out of his room to the front door when he heard the ring of the bell outside. It was Wooyoung's first letter he had received from someone back home and he knew exactly who it was. He opened the door to see the mail woman getting back into her vehicle, giving her a smile and a wave as a nonverbal thank you. When she eventually left Wooyoung turned to his mailbox and opened it. To his delight a singular letter rested inside. He grabbed it and set it on the hallway table, saving it for after he got done with his morning chores.

When he got back inside Wooyoung took his boots off in the front. He traded them for a pair of comfy slides before continuing to the living room, letter in hand. When he sat down on the puffy couch he opened the letter as carefully as possible before setting the envelope down on the coffee table.
"Dear Jung Wooyoung,
How are you doing? I've been thinking about you a lot, actually. I hope that you get this on time or this is going to be a bit awkward hehe~ How is Vuterra? I've only seen pictures from online ads of it but it looks really cool! The thought that my twin flame is a thousand lightyears away is crazy to me. How does it feel being on a different planet? I can't imagine the feeling of breathing air that clean. Don't get me wrong, I love Earth 'n everything, but I bet the air on Vuterra is refreshing considering there aren't any cities or anything there.''
Wooyoung smiled fondly at the words as he read. He had to admit that San sounded adorable when he wrote. It was nice having at least some form of familiarity while settling into his new home. It was scary moving this far away from everything that he knew but getting away from the chaotic life of Earth was just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Wooyoung knew he would miss his friends and family occasionally, but it wasn't like they couldn't visit every now and then (though it did take almost two months to get from Earth to Vuterra). He continued to read.
"Okay okay, I promise throwing questions wasn't all that I'm writing you for. In all seriousness I miss you already, Woo. It's been only a month since you left and it's weird not having you living in our shitty apartment anymore. Because of the void you left in my heart,"
Wooyoung smirked and rolled his eyes, shaking his head at San's dramatic words before continuing.
"I recently got a cat! Her name is Byeol and she is so pretty. Y'know I think she'd like you a lot. I got her from the animal shelter that we visited once because neither of us have the willpower to not walk out with at least three dogs. Well I had Seonghwa-hyung come and make sure I didn't get anything over the top. Byeol is adjusting to this place pretty well actually. Can you guess where she likes to sleep even though I bought her a bed? I'll give you five seconds to guess..."
He looked up from the letter, thinking back on the apartment that they once shared. Wooyoung had left most of his things back at the apartment because the previous owner, a family friend, had left him a fully furnished ranch. The only things that he had taken were his blankets, his pillows, clothes, and decorations that he bought for his room.
Wooyoung tilted his head and thought for a second. Where would a cat like to stay in the apartment? Probably in San's bed or on the couch. Oh! Or maybe the real comfy chair that was in front of the patio window. He looked back down, the chair being his final answer.
"If you guessed that chair next to the window, you'd be wrong! She loves sleeping on your bed! I don't really understand why because there aren't any blankets or anything, just the sheets. It's like she's waiting for the time you come to visit us I guess! You'd love her, Wooyoungie. She's just like you in some ways. In the mornings she wakes me up real early to eat and then when I give her food to her, she doesn't eat for another half hour; much like you~
I'm joking, she takes less than that haha! Anyways, I guess since I'm on the topic of what's happening here on Earth I should talk about my career, huh? Well, good news! I got the bakery all set up! Though I do need to stock up on more ingredients. Until then, I'll be stuck at this stupid movie theater job. Though it does pay surprisingly well, I'll remind you that starting a bakery of my own has been my dream for so long.
The only thing that I've been able to think about, though, is the fact that you won't make it back in time for the opening seeing that you have your alien ranch to tend to. Not that I'm trying to guilt you into coming back! >0< I'm just kinda bummed you won't be here to bother Hwa with me on the opening day. At least I'll have Byeol and the others with me. Oh! And of course you'll be here in spirit!
Well I guess I should leave you to your ranch duties (whatever that may be, I dunno). I miss you a lot Woo! I really hope that you'll be able to see us soon!
-Your Best Friends, Sannie and Byeol"
A tear streamed down Wooyoung's cheek as he pulled the other piece of paper from the letter envelope. When he turned it over, Wooyoung smiled and more tears fell down his face. It was a picture of San and who he could imagine was his newest friend, Byeol. He laughed and shook his head. San did love sending letters over anything else. Kind of old fashioned. It made Wooyoung feel better. More at home.
