A life with her brother was all Charlotte had ever known. Her parents had died when she was only fourteen, her brother eighteen.
With no parents to call their own, her brother Caleb had vowed to keep her under his care, at home and out of a workhouse. They kept their gypsy heritage alive, and grew up on the streets of Watery Lane in the Preston family home.
Along with living across the street from the Shelby family, her brother had been wearing the cap with razor blades sewn in ever since he was sixteen. In just those two years, he had seen and killed more men than he could count.
Growing up as a gypsy, and under the influence of The Peaky Blinders, she remained kind with a considerate nature; but knew how to handle herself. A gun was almost always carried on her hip or in her waist coat.
The Preston's and Shelby's had a bond unlike any other. Everyone knew who they were at the very mention of their names.
It was over these years that the two younger siblings of each family, Finn & Charlotte, gravitated closer together.
As they are both now coming to the age of seventeen, feelings are starting to grow stronger than ever.
