I woke up laying next to Michael. It scared me at first because I couldn't remember right away what had happened last night.

Michael's arm was around me and I didn't want to wake him by getting up, so I decided to text Ali.

To Ali- hey... I need to talk to you. meet me at my house at 11:30 k? my address is 320 Waterway street.

It was currently 9:56 am, and man did I have a headache.

From Ali- of course.

I shut off my phone and looked at Michael. His eyelids started to part.

"Hey sleepyhead," I giggled at his confused expression. He had been a little more drunk than me last night so he didn't know what had happened.

"What happened last night? Shit.. we didn't do anything did we? I wouldn't want to take advantage of you like that.." his body tensed up. He was so frantic but my heart fluttered at his last sentence.

"No we didn't, Michael. It's okay," I chuckled. his body immediately relaxed and I could see the relief in his eyes.

"Okay, well I'm gonna go home. Ali's coming over at 11:30 so I can tell her what happened."

"You haven't told her yet?"

"Well... no. I kind of didn't know how too and didn't have the time to. She was walking in as I was walking, well running, out and I wanted to get out of that place as fast as I could you know?"

"Yeah I see. Well go ahead then because that's something she needs to know. Also don't forget the music festival is tomorrow!"

Good thing he said that because I had completely forgot. I'm sure Ali would have reminded me though.

"Thanks Mikey," I smiled and gave him a quick hug then ran out.

Once I got home I took a quick shower because I felt gross and applied light makeup. I put on some comfy shorts and a tank top since it was just Ali.

"Hey mom, Ali's coming over, is that okay?" I yelled down the stairs.

"I don't care sweetie. I mean I should meet her sometime shouldn't I?" she yelled back. I had completely forgot she hadn't even met her yet.

"That's true," I laughed.

"What time?"

She should be here in like 20 minutes, "11:30," I replied.

"Okay, honey. How about you come down here and talk with your mother for a minute," ugh not the time. I don't want to be guilted into telling her what happened last night.

"Okay," I walked downstairs into the living room where my mom was sitting on her phone.

"Hi," I said.

"Why hello. Is that my daughter? I feel like I haven't seen her in years," my mom laughed while turning her phone off to pay attention to me.

I smiled and laughed at her sarcastic remark.

"Sit down," she said patting on the couch next to her. I sat down awkwardly. We ended up just having a friendly mother daughter conversation. She asked question like how things were going with my friends and she also asked about Michael. She really seemed to like him.

"See I knew you would like him. No matter how cliche it sounds, don't judge a book by its cover," I smiled.

"I'm glad I have a daughter like you to remind me that," I smiled. The doorbell rang and I leaped up to answer it.
