Tygren's POV

Of course, an injury to the neck and three arrow wounds to the body would prohibit him from fighting. Even if he tried, Apexis would most likely stop him. Rude.

She'd finally warmed up to Tygren and then he almost got murdered by Thalleous. What changed in her mind to stop just that from happening? She could've gone on in life without him, even though she would probably get herself killed just as fast as he almost did.

Which wasn't fun, by the way.

Tygren cleaned Thalleous' blood off of his sword. He was kind of irritated that Apexis got to kill him since he wanted to originally. Then again, being knocked unconscious definitely didn't help that cause.

He was grateful that Apexis didn't let that blue bitch kill him, however. A tedious(for him at least, since he was doing nothing) ten or twenty minutes went by before the portal opened and the air filled with a deathly silence. A silence that was interrupted soon after by clashing swords- or... one sword and one double-headed staff. Tygren had stood up by this point, sheathing his sword as he watched Achillean and Ingressus battle each other through the portal.

The Tidesinger and the Deathsinger, one hundred and fifty-four years ago on that fateful day.

After everything was over and Ingressus was now in the present time, he immediately had questions and he went to Apexis since she had the bedazzled, enchanted diamond sword. Tygren snuck out of his little hiding spot and approached Ingressus just as he asked his first question. "Apexis will not have the answers you're looking for, I guarantee."

"Then I assume you will?"

Tygren nodded, folding his arms behind his back. "First of all, are those arrows bothering you by any chance?" He raised an eyebrow, looking down at his waist. "Not at all. Though we never secured the egg, no Ender Knights have appeared since the Great War. As for Prime Songs, Thalleous Sendaris moved them before we had the chance to retrieve them from the villages."

Ingressus frowned, sighing. "I don't know why I trusted you to do this for me." He shook his head, his frown turning into a smile of irritation. Tygren's eyes widened at his remark, offended. "Excuse me? I tried my best to do whatever the hell you needed in front of my basic needs. If I were you, I'd be grateful we got rid of Thalleous and most of the other Ardoni that posed to be major threats." He scoffed, glaring up at Ingressus, whose irritation turned to genuine anger.

"Good to know your efforts aren't sufficient."

"Good to know all my insufficient efforts over the years have been wasted on you." Tygren crossed his arms and walked away. Ingressus looked down at Apexis. "Are you two friends of any sort?"

"Not really. I'd say we're acquaintances or rivals. We probably could've gotten the Mobillium Prime, but I did accidentally interfere with something." Apexis admitted quietly.

Ingressus sighed again, waving her off as he walked away as well. Apexis went to find her 'acquaintance'.

"Are you angry?" Apexis asked once she found him. "No, not at all! Why would you think that? I just spent three-fourths of my entire life trying my best to do what he wanted only for him to tell me my efforts are insufficient. INSUFFICIENT MY ASS." Tygren aggressively ripped out both of the arrows that were still in his body.

Blood flowed in two steady streams, spilling onto his pants and staining them a dark red. Apexis cautiously backed up, folding her hands behind her back. "At least I know where the Mobillium Prime is," He added, frowning. "You what?"

"When I was at Sendaria I overheard Thalleous talking to another Sendaris, who commented on how far Thalleous brought his son across Ardonia-to Crown Peak. From there we can choose the wealthiest-looking house and go with it since Thalleous was a snob."

"Oh. Okay. So you're going to tell him, right?" Apexis asked slowly. Tygren smiled mischievously. "You are going to tell him, right?" Apexis asked again through her teeth. "...Of course, why would you assume anything less of me?" Tygren wondered slyly, brushing past her as he left the area. "You're going to get yourself killed!" She shouted.

Apexis didn't want to see that Voltaris go through any more than he has already, so caution would be good advice for him.

She went to find Azulis, who was no longer blindfolded by bandages. "Apexis why is there so much blood on you? Blood from Voltaris, that is." He furrowed his eyebrows as he eyed her up and down. "Tygren was almost murdered so it's his blood. I did not do anything to him, don't worry."

"Uh, well Haviscus isn't doing so great." Azulis motioned to his brother, who was sitting down on a rock. "I'm fine. I just took a hit to the leg." He shrugged. "Yeah, a pretty large one at that. So, what happened to Tygren? Normally you'd be the one trying to murder him."

"Yeah, Thalleous happened. He snuck up on us and nearly killed him, but Tygren dealt with him pretty well for being shot three times in the lower body." Apexis shrugged as she crossed her arms. "Well, is he okay?" Azulis asked jokingly. "Angry, feeling mischievous, but mostly angry. Ingressus told him his efforts weren't good enough and he got incredibly offended. Understandable, but he kind of overreacted in my opinion. Should I talk to him again to calm him down?"

"Good idea, I'll help Haviscus with his leg."

"Again, I'm fine-" Haviscus tried to stand up but immediately folded and crumbled to the floor. "As I was saying...go and find him before someone dies."

Apexis went to find the guy and found him indeed. "What are you doing?" She asked, standing behind him. "I'm leaving. Feel very free to come with me."

"What?"

"Ingressus finds me useless, so why stay here? I can get the Prime Songs on my own and prevent him from doing jack shit. I want to be annoying to him as payback."

"Oh. Count me in, then. I have nothing better to do. Can Haviscus and Azulis come?" Apexis requested. "Do they need to? I don't want to have to deal with more than one Ardoni other than myself, so no. They cannot."

"At least Azulis?"

"I don't want you two being all coupley in front of me. But fine, why not." Tygren frowned. Apexis ran off to find him. "Azulis, come with me." She grabbed his wrist and dragged him along. "Why?"

"Don't worry about it."

"That's concerning," Azulis replied. "Okay, fine. Tygren's going to find the Prime Songs on his own and play a little game of keep away to annoy Ingressus- we're going with him." She glanced back at him as they arrived. "When is this happening?"

"Right now."
