At the Academy.
"Anyone with questions?" Hinata asked.
The students shook their heads.
"Alright, so—" Before she could continue the Academy bell rang. Hinata sighed. "Alright, that's all for now!" She leaned back against the desk behind her a moment, before perching herself on its edge.
She waited until the students filed out in order to let out a second sigh. A flutter of wind and leafs spun in the classroom, calling her attention. She questioned the newly arrived with a smile, "What took you so long?" Her grin widened, aimed at the sole other occupant of the classroom.
"Well, a person has to appreciate finer things in life, ya know?" A playful voice answered her back. Clear sky blue eyes looked at her with amusement.
"What finer things? You mean the Ramen you eat?" Hinata felt the smile on her face turn into a smirk. She saw the scandalous and betrayal look he shot her and she laughed.
"Now, you take that you back! I trusted you, Hina."
Hinata took a moment to appreciate his ruffled sunny blonde hair and admire that oh so familiar grin gracing his face. She got off the desk and walked near him, taking his hands in hers. Hinata felt herself blush, but pushed that down "Oh, what shall I do? The big bad demon is capturing me. Where's my knight in a literal shining armor?"
She saw an atomic blush bloom on his face before he pointed an a accusing finger at her " Y- You minx, come here!"
Hinata felt her heart flutter with emotions and so much love that she was stunned for a minute. While she tried to shake that away, she found it didn't work. So she attempted something else; she stood on her tippy toes and placed a chaste kiss on his lips. Although she was the one to initiate that kiss, she felt fireworks explode behind her eyelids. All the colors, kaleidoscope and warm feelings pooling in her stomach made her toes curl. When she ended the kiss, she saw Naruto gaping at her, eyes wide, completely stunned.
She took that as her chance to escape the confines of the classroom. Her face was burning because of what she had done. "Well, you'll have to catch me!" With that Hinata ran out of the class. Naruto gave chase, few seconds later, hot on her heels.
Their laughter bounced off the walls of the Academy.

Hinata and Naruto were walking hand in hand around the village. Where they pass the people around, they parted before them like the red sea before Moses.Naruto pranced around with his head held up high, showing confidence. As they were walking he felt Hinata nudge his hand a bit. "Hm?" he questioned.
"D- Don't you t- think this is a bit too much?" Hinata murmured next to him. Her little face covered in a blush as she kept her head down.
"Too much?" Naruto snorted, then grinned down at her. "Nothing is too much when it comes to my precious people."
"You're the worst." Hinata looked away from him and pouted as she usually did.
"Yeah, perhaps I am. But you know I love you though." Naruto felt his own face heat up with the confession he’d just spat out.
Hinata didn't answer for a while, a heavy silence covered them. Hinata open her mouth to answer but closed it, she tried again and only looked up at him before glancing off to the side.
Naruto, seeing this scene, stopped walking, promoting Hinata to stop as well. He ran his fingers through his brilliant blond mane and sighed. He was about to speak up when Hinata beat him to the punch.
"I- I don't know what to say." Hinata blushed heavily and started to fidget with her fingers.
Hearing that, Naruto allowed himself a rueful smile and hugged her. Her small constitution was tucked pretty well under his massive frame. "Well, for one, you can start by saying 'I love you too'," Naruto explained to her and waited for a response.
"I- I.." Hinata shoulders shook with the obvious effort of such a confession.
"Well?"
"I- I love you too." And with that she let out a brilliant, soft smile that shone like a dying star.
Naruto felt his breath hitching as he looked upon the angel before him. A paragon of purity and innocence, if Naruto ever saw one.
He blinked and felt a grin form in answer.
"Now that, that's done with, it's time to prepare for the wedding!"
"W-What wedding?" Hinata questioned in sudden trepidation.
"Our wedding. Duh." Naruto rolled eyes as though that were a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
"H-Hey w-we aren't even e-engaged yet!"
"Who said that? We're perfectly engaged." Naruto said with amusement.
Hinata looked at him with incredulity, realizing a moment too late that he had been merely joking.
"Hey, now! That's not fair!" Hinata cried in indignation.
"All's fair in love and war." With that Naruto start walking again while snickering at her.
"Ohh, you're so gonna get it." Hinata threatened him. It might have worked had she not looked so much like a wet cat that very instant.
"Only if you catch me first!" Naruto disappeared from his original place and reappeared a few rooftops away.
Laughter followed in their trail as they chase each other.
