The past with the Venom Group that Minho had, was not something joyful to forget easily. There was a case of September 11 that led to the bankruptcy of many economic companies and drowned them in debt. One of them was the Lees and they are absolutely ruined by that case, they had to pay 500 million to Venom Group which is an investment company and a mafia gang. But they couldn't return it on time as all the income was used up.
"Well, what was I supposed to do, Mr. Kim?"
Hearing the voice of the evil guy who had killed both of his parents made Minho tremble with fear. That was discussed with a man called Mr. Kim for a few minutes. He knew Mr. Kim was there to save him by following what minho's father asked.
Mr. Kim was a good friend of his father, who was upset to learn of his death. He didn't know that Minho's family was in debt and under the control of the Venom Group, but when he did, his friend left and only his son survived. And he decided not to break the promise he made to his old friend, to protect minho in case he left.
Both of them didn't seem to realize 7 years old minho peeking at them from afar, trying hard to hold his tears. He heard Mr. Kim saying that he was going to adopt him. (minho's family has no more debts since they paid their lives, so he can just adopt him without any payment)
"Sure, go ahead. I have no reason to keep him in my place."
Minho looked around to check the dangerous and terrible place again, the smells of blood and gasoline are so different from the smell of his mother's garden full of flowers which might be destroyed by the Venom Group already.
He shouted out to himself that he will NEVER come back there again. Minho had been stuck in there for a week without seeing his parents. All the tears he let out were a waste, they didn't change a thing.
'Mom, Dad, I miss you guys so much.' was the only thought on his mind.
"Lee minho, your brand new father is looking for you to come out."
He heard that criminal say before immediately running to where the middle-aged men were sitting.

That was all he remembers about the past. And thanks to Mr.Kim and his family, he has grown up well. They treated him warmly just like he was one of their family members, raised him, and paid for his school fees.
Mr. Kim Seunghan has a son the same age as minho, Kim Seungmin. He is kind and has a lot of friends in their school unlike him, who doesn't have any friends and is well-known as an arrogant student Council president who only cares about grades.
"Do they feed you shits so you can be that dumb?" is the iconic line he uses a lot when someone asked him to explain a thing TWICE. He doesn't have patience much, indeed.
On the other hand, he is the only member of the gardening club. No one was interested in that club but minho. He wanted to recreate the garden he used to love before and it's a thing his mom would love. She loved flowers a lot.
Minho gets easily annoyed but he didn't show it most of the time. He was a student council president, after all, he had to be mature, forced to be mature to be honest. Staying quiet in front of the higher-ups even if he knows he is right becomes his habit.
There are sometimes when people judged him for being the student council president and getting high scores than seungmin or because of being the adoptive son of Mr. Kim. They told him he doesn't deserve all of these, minho didn't reply anything to them but his blood boils inside.
"Are you zooming out again?"
Minho sighs as he heard Seungmin's voice from behind. It was break time for them, and minho was sitting on a branch in the garden. The smell of flowers calms him down so he loves to sit near there.
"I have a lot to think, I'm busy, alright?"
He managed to explain, making the other rolls his eyes.
"Anyway minho, Can I-"
"No."
"I haven't even said anything!?"
Seungmin yelled at him. Minho just groans.
"You can't skip your social studies class again seungmin, the teacher said she is going to report it to our father! It is your fifth time skipping it."
"Oh come on! It's so boring! I will rather have a party."
"As you want~ I won't help you if you got reported I swear."
Minho got a slap on his shoulder from the younger one before getting up and running to the office since he still has assignments.
