Y/n was a descendant of the great hero, Jan, from long ago who wrote the Legend of X, Y, and Z. However, Y/n did not know. He had recently become the champion of Kalos and decided for a break that he'd visit the ruins of his ancestor. While arriving, he saw a few familiar faces. It was Professor Sycamore and his good friend Alexa.
Sycamore: Oh, hello, Y/n! Or should I say "Champion" Y/n?
Y/n: Just Y/n is fine.
Loptile!!
Helioptile jumped off of Alexa's shoulder and onto Y/n's. It then cuddled his face.
Y/n: Hahahaha! Nice to see you too Helioptile!
Alexa: It's good to see you again. I thought you were leaving with Ash.
Y/n: I decided to explore parts of Kalos I haven't seen yet. I still appreciate what you did for us when we were training to beat your sister.
Alexa: Oh, it was nothing.
Her Pokémon hopped back on her shoulder.
Sycamore: So what're you doing here? Aren't you the champion?
Y/n: Yeah. I'm just taking a break from business and exploring like I said before. Diantha told me about this place and that it was connected to a famous legend that I've wanted to hear.
Sycamore: Well it is the biggest find of the century. The ruins that confirm the truth of a Kalos legend like you said. Who knew they would be found at such a high altitude?
Y/n: Well it was many years ago. Ever hear of Erosion?
The trio shared a laugh together.
Alexa: But you're right about the altitude. It's amazing they were never discovered until now.
Sycamore: So where is the maiden statue?
Y/n: What statue?
Alexa: I'll show you guys.
They were walking through a tunnel being lit by small lanterns.
Alexa: You see. It was accidentally discovered on a satellite image. A temple-like structure overgrown by nature. Because the location is very treacherous, it took time to get a research team up here.
Y/n: But the question is, what were these ruins built for? And why is there a statue that hasn't been torn down after all that time?
Sycamore: Right. And why did you accompany the research team Alexa?
She had a picture of Xerneas on her small tablet.
Alexa: Because of this. Through the discovery of various artifacts, we knew there was an ancient nation that flourished here. Which ultimately became the foundation of civilization and follows. I wanted to report on the lives of people and Pokémon living at that time.
Y/n: Sounds just like you Alexa.
They then approached the other end of the tunnel and were met with a bright light. After exiting the tunnel, they were met with a big open area surrounded by rock and healthy grass. There was also a stream that went all the way around the area in a circle. The main thing they saw was the statue of a beautiful girl that looked like she was reaching for something or someone in a very scared expression. This shocked Sycamore and Y/n.
