She would always go around chanting "ball is life" at school. Though she made sure none of the boys- or the hardcore ballers heard her. Until one day she came home from a rough tough day at school. She was picked on by many of the guys for being so hidden and secure. Nobody seemed to enjoy her innocence. She was 15 and she was virgin and hadn't gotten her first kiss yet and no one seemed to be very friendly about her dead and dying love life. She was a hard worker and focused on success and achieving a good GPA so she could prepare for college. But no one was supposed to care about education in high school right?

She got home to a surprise from her dad. She didn't take it as a very pleasant one but she couldn't get herself to complain. Her dad- being one of the only ones to know about her undying love for basketball signed her up for the local basketball team. It was convenient too because they only lived 3 minutes from the closest gyms. She knew he was on the team. The only thing that prevented her from that team was him. And now she couldn't say o to her father. She knew it would disappoint him. Her dad had only wanted her to gain composure of herself and self-confidence and pride all the other girls seemed to have.

He was the hardcore baller she was afraid of. Although at the same time she fell for him. He was nice to her. Very nice. He got her stuff from her locker if she was running late and made sure that she was always okay. He remembered her from somewhere but he could never put his finger on it. He knew she was different but he liked that. He always liked a spark of something new and different. He always never let his feelings get to him about her. He tried hard to avoid her but it never worked. There was always something about her vibe that he dug. He couldn't admit it though because he didn't want to upset his homies.

He was the school's star player on the basketball team. Though he struggled with keeping up his grades he managed with help here and there. He was popular and very well known but he was also quiet and liked to keep to himself. He played for both the boys team at Edward Middleton High School and for his local neighborhood team. He was really confident in himself and sometimes bragged without even realizing it.

They both were soon about to play for the same team and she wasn't expecting the best to come out of it. As for he, he had no clue what was about to hit him.
