When the sun goes down and the moon comes up northern Alaska gets scary. In the tall grass creatures sneak around and hope to never be found. There's fairies and talking poppy flowers. The poor creatures mean no harm. They want people to stop coming to their island because at night the island some how makes everything that doesn't have protection dissapear.
One day a family went on vacation to northern Alaska. While the parents were distracted their little girl wandered off. She stumbled upon the mysterious place. She saw flowers and went to smell. As she leaned down to sniff she heard someone speak. She couldn't figure out where it came from. She went to lean and smell again but out of the corner of her eye she saw a light floating in the air. She quickly turned and Saw a fairy. She talked to the fairy all day long. When the sun went down the little girl couldn't see anything accept the floating fairy. The fairy took the girl to her house for the night. Since the fairy was so small the girl wouldn't fit in the house. The fairy showed the girl a safe place to sleep. The fairy stayed with the girl until she went to sleep.
The next morning when the fairy awoke she went looking for the girl. She was nowhere to be found. Then the fairy though of when the girl was saying the day before how she wished she knew how to swim. The fairy then flew as fast as she c I uld down to the water. She saw the girl and got her out of the water surprised to see she was still alive.
The girl lived in the mysterious place for 13 years. When she finally wanted to eave the fairy went with her. The girl walked bravely through the forest that hid the mystical place. She longed to see her parents and have children. She had seen so many young fairies in the forest she wanted kids of her own. She said goodbye to the fairy and went off on her own.
About a year later the girl went back to the forest. She wanted to see the fairy that raised her. She saw the fairy and told her about her husband and her children. She had four children and a happy life in Idaho. She told the fairy she only came back there see her and show her kids where she was raised. She liked the place. That was her place. She was the only human that had lived for years where no one else had Even lived a day.
The fairy was happy to see the girl but had both good and bad news tk tell the girl. The fairy had a child of her own. But when a fairy has a child they only live for a year after the child is born. The fairy was going to die. She had about a month left and was happy the girl had come back in rime to see her before she left. The fairy wanted to tell the girl she wanted her to come see her child anytime she had a chance.
The girl grew old with her husband and kids. She often thought about her fairy mother. She issued her. The girl lived to be 87 she died the same day as the fairy just many years later. The girl was named by the fairy she was named Mallory.
Mallory lived a long happy life with her 4 kids:Julie, Jim, Jaley, and Jasper. Mallory never found her real parents. She didn't really even look she only wanted to thank them for letting her get away to find the fairy. She put her thanks on TV in the dorm of a letter titled a letter to the Fairy Parents.
