Chris walked back and forth in the waiting area of the hospital.

"Would you calm down, here come take a seat next to me Chris." Mrs. Redfield said as she patted the blue seat next to her. Chris sighed and to a seat next to his mother.

They've been waiting there for 30 minutes. A few minutes after the lifeguard performed CPR, Sheva began to cough and spit up water. Then the ambulance came and took Sheva to the hospital. His mother already called Sheva's mom and Clyde. They got to go into the room while they were preparing Sheva for visitors and making sure she was feeling alright.

Just then Nadia came out to the waiting room with Nia in her arms.

"How is she?" Mrs. Redfield asked with a worried expression on her face. She thought Nadia would be mad at her for not keeping an eye on her daughter and almost letting her drown.

"She's fine nothing really bad. She just has a bruise from when she hit her head; they just wrapped that part of her head up. She looks like someone was trying to mummify her, haha. But other than that the doctor said she should be fine. Want to come see her?"

Chris jumped up from his seat asked Nadia to show them the way. They followed her to the room Sheva was in. Nadia gave a soft knock before she opened the door.

Chris looked around the nicely lit room and the first thing he saw was a bed in the center of the room with Sheva in it. She had a bandage around her forehead where she hit it. Other than that she looked completely fine. A dark skinned man was sitting next to her that Chris didn't know.

"Hey guys!" Sheva said in a raspy voice as she waved to her friends. Without thinking, Chris ran to her side and gave her a big hug. She was surprised but slowly responded by wrapping her arms around his large body.

"How are you feeling?" Chris asked when the hug ended.

"My chest hurts and throat hurt a little, but other than that I'm ok." She said in her scratchy voice with a smile.

"Do you know when you will be out?"

"About 24 hours. They just want to make sure I'm fine before I go back home..."

"I'm just glad you're ok..." Chris said as he pulled her into another hug. Nadia told the others to give them some privacy. Clyde got up from his chair and followed everyone else out of the room leaving Chris and Sheva by themselves. Neither one of them even noticed they left.

"I didn't think you would be so worried..." Sheva told him truthfully. The hug ended as she said that. Chris looked her in the eyes and told:

"Of course I was worried. You weren't breathing; I thought you were going to die or you were already dead..."

"Chris... I don't think I will be leaving anytime soon... And where did everyone go?" Sheva asked looking around the room to find it completely empty except for her and Chris.

Chris looked around and also noticed everyone was gone, too. Chris looked at her and they both laughed. Chris told her to scoot over on the bed so he could sit next to her.

"You know Chris, I know we just met not even a week ago, but it feels like I've known you for a long time." Sheva admitted, turning a little red in her cheeks.

"Now that you mention it, it does feel like that." Chris said rubbing his chin, acting like he was thinking about something. Sheva just laughed at his silly behavior.

Chris took a moment to look at her as she laughed. She looked so beautiful. Chris got a feeling he hadn't had in a long time. He wanted to pull her close and kiss her and not just a peck and the cheek. But he just met her and didn't want to make it awkward between them and their growing friendship.

Sheva stopped laughing and her eyes met with Chris'. She saw that Chris was slowly leaning in and she quickly got nervous. She never kissed a boy before, not even dated one. Chris was getting closer and she found herself leaning in too.

'What the heck' Sheva thought as she closed her eyes. She felt Chris grab her head in his large hands and pull her close. Then it happened, she felt his soft warm lips touch hers. Her first kiss! Sheva was so excited and leaned in even more.

Chris was also very excited. He's kissed many girls before but Sheva was...different. Different in a good way and if he ever got a chance to be her boyfriend, he would be the best one she would ever have.

Claire had he ear on the door and heard everything they said. But when it got quiet, she thought she had an idea of what was going on.

"Mom I'm going to check on them really quick." Claire said as she reached for the door handle.

"Why do you want to check on them? Just give them some time." Said Mrs. Redfield, as she stood up and started to walk towards Claire.

"But mom, it got really quiet all of the sudden and Sheva could have passed out. You know Chris wouldn't say anything if she did."

"What makes you say that?"

"Because he obviously likes her and he obviously wanted to be alone with her. And he would try to wake her up before he asked for help. Duh..." Claire finished. Mrs. Redfield thought a moment then said:

"Maybe we should check on them...but knock first."

"Ok," Claire said as she knocked on the door. No answer. She knocked again, still no answer. She pressed her ear to the door and listened. Nothing.

"Ok, something's going on..." Nadia said as put her hand on the handle of the door. She pushed open the door.

Once Chris and Sheva heard the door open they instantly let go of each other and stopped kissing. Sheva had a terrible feeling in her stomach; she was worried her mother saw what happened. If she did, Sheva could die right there, right then.

"Is everything ok?" Nadia asked looking between them.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" Sheva asked trying to look normal.

"Claire just said it was quiet, so we wanted to make sure you didn't pass out..." Once those words came out of her mouth, Chris cut his eyes at Claire. She just shrugged her shoulders and turned away.

"No everything's ok. What did you think we were doing?" Chris asked Nadia.

"I thought you guys were... you know..." Once that came out of Sheva's mother's mouth, Chris and Sheva both acted surprised and Sheva said:

"Mom, were just friends...Why would you think like that?!"

"Can you blame me?!" Nadia told Sheva, raising her arms in the air.

"Well, no. I get why you would think that, but you know I know better than to do that!" Sheva lied to her mother. She really felt terrible. But she could have sworn her mother was pushing her to him when she first met Chris. She could have told the truth but didn't want to in front of everyone.

"Can everyone leave me and Sheva alone for a second? I need to talk to her." Nadia asked everyone. Everyone left the room and Nadia walked to the bed and sat where Chris was sitting.

Nadia sighed and told Sheva: "I know you guys kissed."
