Both maknae's many days prior had gotten into a huge argument about how they both get in each others way most of the time and how one can't focus while the other is always being annoying and distracting. They both non stop told each other how they could work so much better if they never met and became friends. Jeongin started to hate Seungmin. Seungmin started to hate Jeongin. This argument had taken a huge toll on their friendship, causing them to not talk or interact with each other the next few days that followed along. Sadly this all had happened a few days before Seungmin's birthday. He tried getting his mind off of the fact that Jeongin probably wouldn't tell him happy birthday, or even see him on his birthday. He doubted that he would even REMEMBER his birthday.

Thankfully his mind was off the argument for some time because of how busy they were. He thought that if they were busy, he wouldn't have to worry about having to interact with Jeongin at all. That was until his birthday actually came. Seungmin woke up earlier than ever and did his morning routine, even wore his new clothes that he bought the day prior. He went to a coffee shop before he went to go to the JYP building. He walked into the cafe, loving how humble it was. The strong scent of coffee swirling around him. He ordered an americano like usual and then headed to the building.

When he entered the building, to his surprise, no one happened to be there. He tried finding Chan first but he couldn't. So he decided to go find someone who could know where he was. "Sana unnie!" "Eh? Oh hi Seungmin!" "Sorry to bother you, but do you know where Chan is?" "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't see him walk in." Seungmin found it weird that Chan wouldn't come in. "Did you see any other one of my members walk in?" "Come to think of it. No I didn't." "Awe. Okay well thank you!" "No problem! Also, happy birthday!" "Thanks!" Seungmin said as he walked out. He checked his phone, no notifications. So he sadly had to walk all the way back to the dorms.

Once he got back, he knocked on Chan's door. He stood outside the door for a while until a tired Chan opened the door. "Yes Seungmin?" "Why aren't we practicing?" "Today is our day off. Didn't you see the calendar..?" Seungmin was pretty happy that it was a break day, which meant he could spend his birthday with everyone. "Oh. I don't think I did. Sorry to bother you hyung." Chan smiled and closed the door. 'Did he even remember my birthday?' Seungmin thought. He checked his phone again, but still nothing. He assumed the rest of the members hadn't woken up yet since it was 8am, so he walked to his dorm. Of course Stay remembered his birthday, he read many tweets and posts telling him happy birthday. Still none of the members messaged him happy birthday.

He took off his shoes and changed out of his favorite outfit. He didn't know what to think anymore. Oh how his special day was ruined. He laid down on his bed and stared and the ceiling. He could feel tears well up in his eyes. He wished he could just return his birthday clothes if we didn't rip off the tags in excitement. He wish he never got in Jeongin's way.

Finally the tears had fallen from his eyes. He couldn't stop the flow of his tears. He wished Jeongin was there with him. These thoughts overflowed his mind, making him fall asleep.

a few hours later...

Seungmin woke up to knocking on his door. His eyes were puffy from crying a few hours ago. He opened the door, not quite able to figure out who is was from his blurry vision.
"I just wanted to say happy birthday." Jeongin said. Seungmin opened the door wider to be able to see who it was. "Jeongin? I...I'm sorry for the argument. I'm sorry for what I said about you being in my way.."

Jeongin wanted to hug poor Seungmin, until he noticed that his room was empty, his new clothes were thrown on the floor and tissues overflowing in the trashcan. That's when it hit Jeongin. "Minnie. Have you been alone this whole time?" He softly asked. Seungmin looked at his room and nodded. "Not even Chan remembered my birthday." Seungmin was gonna close the door, but Jeongin stopped him. Seungmin felt a pair of long comforting arms around him. It's definitely what he needed after all the sorrow that filled his birthday. "I'm sorry I didn't come over earlier.." Jeongin said softly.

"It's fine. But you can go now, it's a mess in here anyways." "Why? It's your birthday hyung" "...fine you can stay." Jeongin smiled and walked to the kitchen to see if he could attempt to make something. "Why don't you wash up and I'll make us some ramyeon. Alright?" Seungmin smiled and nodded as he went to find some cute casual clothes to wear.

Jeongin put the ramen on the stove and cleaned up the area while Seungmin got into the shower.

Lazy time skip..

Seungmin got out the shower and was hit with a comforting smell of ramyeon. Jeongin finish making their food and cleaned up some of his mess so they could eat. "Thanks Innie..sorry about what happened." Jeongin was tired of Seungmin saying sorry over their argument as if it was his fault. "I should be sorry hyung. I was the one that was trying to push you out the way." "Well either way we were both wrong. I love you too much to not be affected by your ignoring." Seungmin laughed. Jeongin pushed the food aside and leaned in to pull Seungmin into his arms, kissing the top of his head.

"Let's not go through that again huh?" Jeongin asked softly. Both boys leaned into each other's arms. Jeongin's arms around Seungmin's small waist, and Seungmin laying on Jeongin's chest.

Seungmin never wants to have a lonely birthday again.
