The Bet

National city was having a ceremony to celebrate a very special event. There were parades, balloons and other exciting things too, The crowd was even wearing different shades of purple and even the children had toy bows and arrows, also Mayor Fred Henderson was at the steps of the city hall.

Mayor Fred Henderson: I would like to thank everyone for coming to celebrate our new hero who saved us from evil, I would speak on the behalf of National City that we are lucky to have not only just one but we have two amazing superheroes and also they are both here. As Mayor Fred said that the citizens of National City started to scream even louder and that's when Supergirl and Purple Arrow walked onto the stone steps everyone started to chanting.

National Citizens: Kate Wake up. Purple Arrow was confused as she was looking at everyone including Supergirl who was chanting as well.

Kate jolted and then sat up in her bed and she looked at her older sister.

Kate: Okay I'm up I'm awake. Once she said that Kate got up and hugged her older sister 

Sofia: Good morning Kate, you should probably get ready because you don't want to be late for school. Sofia smiled at her little sister and walked downstairs to make breakfast to go and by the time Sofia finished that task, Kate got ready for school and started walking down the big marble staircase with her bag around her shoulders. The Bishop sisters walked out of the big building and got in Sofia's black BMW car.

Sofia turned on the radio and the station was Live and Wired, then straight after that Sofia could tell that Kate didn't like the host of the radio show and Sofia smiled a little.

Kate: Thanks for making me breakfast and driving me to school. Kate smiled as she switched the radio station to another one and that made Sofia laugh. 

Sofia: You're welcome, have fun at school. Sofia said as she pulled up outside the gates of National City High School, Kate started to get out of the car. Oh and um Kate... Then Kate looked around to her older sister when she was standing on the side walk of the school. Don't forget that I love you. Sofia smiled as Kate laughed lightly.

Kate: Okay I know and I love you too. She said as she walked away from Sofia and into the school. Kate walked down the semi-populated halls of National City High School and then she stopped outside her locker that had a Supergirl sticker on it and other things like it, she put some of her things in her silver metal locker and walked to her class. 

The brunette walked to a table that had her two best friends that she knew for a long time and they all smiled at each other.

Kate: morning guys how's was your weekend? Kate asked as she looked at both of them as she sat down at the desk and placed her bag down at the same time.  

Jenna: The usual. Jen just smiled and leant back on her chair, then both Kate and Jenna looked at Alex.

Alex: Jen isn't that you basically inventing things? Alex looked at Jenna and she nodded for an answer, then Alex looked at Kate. nothing much, just watching tv what about you?

Kate: Well I did archery and marcel arts training. Once she said that Jenna started smirking and then she looked at Alex. Why are you looking at Alex for? Kate was confused and so was Alex.

Jenna: Hey Alex, I bet you Kate can make the bell ring in the clock tower with her arrows. Jenna said as she leant on the table.

Kate: Actually it's a bell tower. Kate corrected Jenna in a friendly way.
