Fyodor is not in a very good mood for these last few days after his encounter with Anh. He cannot simply let her go in any possible ways. He knows Dazai Osamu very well, one wrong move and he'll sniff out their location.

Rubbing his forehead he spun his chair towards the direction of the door. Sigma would be back for now. The plan is to use some exploding coins with different currency and distribute it to the casino.

She hasn't come to bother him again for the past few days. It somehow made him feel at ease because he doesn't want to hear her pleading but he felt... Lonely? No, never in his life would he be sad because he's alone.

He's born alone and he'll die alone.

He just got used to have her presence because of that night.

She made him feel that he's still human even though his soul is as dark as the night sky.

He finally heard Sigma knocking. He closed his eyes, "Come in." he murmured.

"Dostoevsky-san."

...

Anhasletticia stared at the ceiling. Her body sprawled on her bed while her thoughts fly with those irritatingly free birds.

"I would kill for someone to bust me out of this room."

"Ohoho.. Is that so?"

"Oh please... Anyone but you." She playfully sobbed.

"I feel offended Love!" Nikolai Gogol gasped clutching his chest.

"Don't 'Love' me clown." She continued striking an invisible arrow through his head.

"Why? you want Dos-kun to call you that?" He smirked.

"..." she animatedly looked at him with a horrified face.

"Hey! Don't be like that Fedya looks good!" Nikolai said defending his best friend.

Back in the orphanage they both came from, the head mistress treats the two badly. They would eat scraps on the floor while other children eats at the table. Lucky for them if someone drop some food.

Nikolai's parents died in the war. He was there before Fyodor, he was given by a Russian soldier just because they took pity on him—an unwanted kid in the battle field. When Fyodor showed up his life became not too lonely anymore, he's better than those other kids he would shut up if the head mistress said and he'll only talk when he was told to.

They got along a year before Fyodor came. Surprisingly he understands him and his want to be freed in this cage they call 'home'. He also found out that Fyodor is a genius after he found a way to sneak a piece of bread for them to share.

Other children call the two of them creeps. They don't mind it because they know that the others just don't understand what they are thinking.

"I know, I didn't said he's ugly." she replied.

"Then why look like that?" he questioned more.

"What do you mean? I was born like this." she cupped her face using her both hands.

"The horrified look.."

"Oh," her blue diamond eyes dropped, the playful glint vanished.

As a Crown Princess of the empire she's expected to wed Ijekiel Alpheus near future. She already know that love isn't a thing for someone whose fate was tied with the responsibility of ruling and empire. She does not have any room for love inside her heart.

"in my world, I don't have a choice but to surrender my own happiness— that 'love'." She stated looking at the man before her. "I can't love freely."

"Hmm.." He brought his gloves hand on her chin. "Like a Princess needed to be saved?"

"I'm not really needed to be saved, I quite like it." she forced a smile.

"Oh how cute.. If only you know." Nikolai thought.

He grew up without a proper home.

Proper nurture and love.

Then Fyodor came and freed him.

He owed a lot to his friend.

Just–Just why does they both have to be so similar?

With millions of houses they both found a home in this stray puppy named Anhasletticia.

"How about we go out?" Nikolai offered.

This is the only time for him to finally have her.

"What do you want?" She asked, she's so suspicious of this man but she'll admit that she enjoys talking with this man with a strange humor.

"Me? Is it wrong to be your knight in shining armour for one day?" he grinned.

Because he knows that he won't be able to play that 'Knight in shining armour' ever again.

Nikolai Gogol may be insane in many ways but he's not that kind of an idiot who doesn't know that his best friend is possibly inlove with this beautiful lady. Even if Fyodor deny it in his face, every possible path leads to one ending.

The only way to set his caged heart free is to let go.

Let go of his feelings for this woman.

"Just for one day... Then Let I'll set my heart free from you."

The girl might not notice it but behind those goofy grin of his is a heart of a man ready to let go.

He doesn't cry out of sadness. He can't cry because it'll only ruin the wall he built for those years of suffering. He's scared that if he ever did it will went like a fucking dam.

"I have a job for you." Fyodor leaned on his chair.

They are currently inside the facility near the sea. Nikolai was summoned by Fyodor and its the dead of the afternoon.

"Aye.. Fedya what do you want??"

"I want you to capture a pretty little puppy."

"Oh.. You got bored of the last one?"

"I threw her out directly in the sea." Fyodor replied like it is not a big deal.

"No thrill why won't you let me have fun with it? Like cutting it in half or—"

"Kolya," His bestfriend's stern voice caught him. "do not harm this new puppy."

The moment he heard those last sentence he immediately knew that this woman is special. He was smitten by the angelic lady when his eyes landed on her. She piqued his interest more wanting to have her by himself.

How could one possess such eyes? They shine even in darkness! She almost look like a Princess out of a story book.

Fedya just got out of the puppy's room. He thought she might be uncomfortable with the lack of clothes since he swept her away with only pyjamas on. He took the lady out of the room and teleport her inside one of Fyodor's previous play toy's  walk-in closet.

He kept on waiting after leaving her to change but then his friend came and said he will took over.

Every visits just made his heart leap out of his chest even knowing that he'll probably take the consequences later. Then he saw Fedya carrying the woman one night. He carried her like a sack but what amused him is the smile Fyodor had on his face. He never saw him smile like that it felt real—genuine. That moment he already knows that he lost.
