I played the player
I walked down the hallway of school. Posters on everything were hung up on the walls: vote for me's and buy this or do that's. Every neon poster blurred together with next making the puffy paint impossible to read.
Whispers and laughter bounced off of the walls, today's gossip fresh on everyone's lip. Evidently some girl named Marci is the schools new slut; poor thing doesn't stand a chance. The schools player was trying to find his next girl to chat up which there was no surprise there, it was about the right time. The whispers were getting louder when suddenly they stopped, the only sound left was the click of my heels and a bark of laughter from a very familiar voice.
I nudged my shoulder into his then tripped slightly and quite gracefully too. "Oops!" I said as I started to fall a little until he grabbed onto my waste and pulled me up. His hands stayed rested at the side of my hips and he acted as if it was something normal to do. "Oh gosh thanks for catching me, that could've been bad." I laughed a bit and smiled a sweet smile. His eyes lit up like a lion looking at its next meal. I played up on the giggling and batting of my eye lashes as he pulled me up.
"Wow I've never seen someone fall with so much grace. You should be a model or something." Jacob said to me his voice was deep and husky, with this accent that was somewhere between innocent country boy and a cowboy Casanova but it was the most attractive thing I had ever heard.
It was no wonder so many girls fell for him. His eyes were hazel and shone more than the sun, and he had a sharp jaw line that drew you to his edible looking lips. The thought of lips being edible was a strange one, but as close as we were to each other it was the only thing I could think of to describe them,
I looked down at the floor and tried to pull a blush up to my face before looking back at him and smiling shyly at him. "Yeah, but you have to look like a model to be one." I said in a vulnerable tone that only I knew was fake. My eyes flicked down to his lips before looking back up into his eyes. Jacobs smile grew even more I was an even bigger prey now.
"Who's to say you don't look like a model? I think you look good enough to pull it off." he said to me smiling, a short boost of confidence so that I would step right into his clutches. I smiled back at him tucking some hair behind my ear and blushed once again. Only this time it was real, it's not everyday a person call another pretty enough to be a model.
"Thanks, that really means a lot, but I've got to get to class, I don't want to be late. Maybe I'll see you some other time." I said, pulling myself out of his grasp and walked away swaying my hips a little bit more than usual. When I walked off the only thing I heard was whispers of my demise from all of the jealous girls. It made me smile because they didn't know what would really be happening. None of them knew that in a months time the player would be played.
